MAINTAINANCE AND HARDWARE
This application is currently being used by around1,200 employees across the organization.
Pantaloon has an in-house team and it hasoutsourced ABAP resources for maintenance.
Also in the process of setting up a SAP CompetencyCentre.
The system runs on a HP Superdome server on HPUNIX 11i and the database is from Oracle.
The cost of this project was about $10 million.

Future Objectives
Pantaloon plans to use other functions of SAP General Ledger such as
Parallel Reporting
Pantaloon will also get benefits from this feature when India converges with
International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), planned for 2011.
Pantaloon plans to go ahead with IT projects such asimplementation of WMS with RFID,
Customer Intelligence and CRM.
