Digistar Version Digistar 5 Initial Installation 2011
Projection System Dual 2560 x 1600 cove projectors with Zeiss ZKP 1
http://www.planetarium-gluecksburg.de
The planetarium is part of the Flensburg University of Applied Sciences but is located off
campus in Glücksburg. It originally opened in 1969 with a Zeiss optical mechanical projector.
This is a 6 meter dome over a 7 meter seating area. In 2011 they added Digistar with dual
center projectors to compliment the optical mechanical star ball. In 2013 they upgraded to
Digistar 5 and moved the projectors from the center to the cove and placed the optical
mechanical on a moveable platform so it can be removed from the dome.
While they do show pre-rendered shows, they are most well-known for the live programs
they do. These interactive shows take advantage of the real time features of Digistar 5.
This is also a primary beta test site for Digistar software.
