downloading certificate data into corporate information systems

• Almond processor viewing Almond VASP certificates

IN INTERNATIONAL TRADEIN INTERNATIONAL TRADE• Two major European Union (EU) ports receive Almond and Dairy

certificates from eTDE. Integration of other EU ports is in progress

• Meat suppliers will use eTDE to provide copies of FSIS meat export certificate of wholesomeness to ports (including Russia) in 2012

• eTDE to be integrated with the EU TRACES system to automate creation of EU common entry documents in 2012

– Securely hosted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Marketing Service (USDA, AMS)

– Secure access is validated by USDA’s eAuthentication service

Sign-on and Secure Socket Layer (SSL)

• Certificate upload is protected by Secure File Transfer / Secure Shell (SFT/SSH) and a secure User ID and Password issued by USDA

• Registration of Entities and Users in eTDE requires approval by System Administrator and Entity Administrator

• eTDE system provides an Audit Trail that captures all upload and user access activities for each certificate
