1959: Eurailpass (Eurail Global Pass) Introduced (13 Countries)
1971: Student-Railpass introduced for 2nd class (later became Youth Pass)
1978-1989: Eurailpass expanded to include 17 countries

1972: Introduction of InterRail Pass for Youth only (age limit 21)
1976: Age limit increased to 23
1979: Age limit increased to 26
1989: Adult offer introduced (test sales in Nordic countries only)
1991: Adult offer also introduced for sales in UK
1993: Steep decline in sales due to various reasons
1998: Adult offer expanded to all markets for all countries
2007: Eurail Group G.I.E. took over management of InterRail
