Dear friends,

The scientific committee and I are particularly honored to welcome you to Paris for ‘The New ICACT 2017!’ from 21st to 23rd March 2017.For the first time, a large number of Scientific Societies involved in the fight against cancer will be meeting to-gether to give you all the necessary information for your daily practice and give you the best medical training in Oncology. Many of the top international experts in the field of Oncology will also be present, thus contributing to very high-level discussions!

We look forward to these three days of oncology training being both friendly and highly constructive through their scientific exchanges, contributions and discussions.

We are particularly delighted to present new subjects such as medical-economic topics and sessions devoted to research and therapeutic education. We have also opened our doors this year to patients’ associations to give them the opportunity to exchange with professionals.

A special session devoted to recommendations on good practice will close the Congress, organized under the aegis of young oncologists, The National College of Oncology Professors and the French Cancer Society at the end of which the ‘Claude Jacquillat’ Prize will be awarded to one of them, in recognition of their work on a thesis or piece of scientific research, a demonstration of the profession’s support and an ex-pression of their congratulations.

This new organization of the Congress will be structured around multi-disciplinary ses-sions which will provide you from A to Z with all the information you need to care for your patients. We are also providing simultaneous interpreting so that every speaker may make their presentation in French or in English, as they prefer, thus meeting the expectations of all the participants.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible and sharing a very pleasant three days with you in March 2017! Please do not hesitate to talk about this Congress to your colleagues so that they also may attend to the ‘The New ICACT 2017!’

Submission Guidelines- Abstracts have to be submitted electronically and in English- Abstracts received after the deadline (February 5th, 2017) will not be considered- Supply as much information as possible: the precise subject of study, methods used where appropriate, summary of results obtained, conclusion- As it is assumed that original work will be presented, no bibliographic references are necessary- Selected abstracts will be published in the abstract book exactly as you submitted it. Therefore, proofreading is essential, no modification will be possible after submission.- Your abstract should not contain accents or any other invalid character, which would not be part of the English alphabet.- Your abstract’s text should not exceed 3,000 characters (excluding spaces)- The main author (presenter) confirms that all authors are aware of and agree to the content of the abstract and support of the data presented. By submitting his abstract, the author allows the 28th New ICACT to publish and distribute or sell his abstract as part of the Abstract Book, which may be distributed on paper.- All selected abstracts will be published in the abstract book. Papers accepted for poster presentation will be displayed during poster sessions.- Acceptance or rejection of the paper by the Scientific Committee will be notified by email to the main author (presenter) by February 13th, 2017- Only persons whose registration is complete will be able to present their abstracts- Posters will be awarded or encouraged: a special jury will select the three best posters and their authors will receive the SOMPS Poster Award and a cheque of 500E each.
