Welcome

Eutopia Events is a Massachusetts-based event planning

company started by two friends with a flair for art and design

and a passion for throwing amazing parties. We give you peace

of mind, making sure your event is executed flawlessly.

While designing, coordinating, styling, and art-directing photo

shoots for a national, award-winning parenting magazine by

Disney Publishing, Ruthie McDonald and Lauren Mace earned

reputations as two of New England’s most creative and committed

planning professionals. One spring, Ruthie and Lauren ventured

out on their own, combining their collective talents into what

is now a highly sought after event planning company.

Their hats are many: planners, graphic designers, bakers, and

stylists, just to name a few. Because of these creative talents,

they are able to provide their clients with a range of specialized

services that many other event planners cannot. Their sense of

style, attention to detail, patience, and understanding of their

clients’ needs is what distinguishes them as the best in the industry.

Ruthie and Lauren hold degrees in Graphic Design and

have worked in the wedding industry for over 12 years. When

they are not busy coordinating an event, designing, or baking

cakes, you can often find them shopping antique stores and

boutiques for unique finds. Their favorite color is green and both

have an affinity for anything chocolate.

conversation with Lauren and Ruthie, I felt confident that their energy,

attention to detail, and seamless collaboration would be a huge asset

to my wedding day. I was not mistaken. Throughout the planning

wedding weekend was covered. From ceremony programs to guest

gift bags, Eutopia Events ensured there was a clear plan and that all

The wedding itself could not have gone smoother. They managed

the entire event moment-to-moment, behind the scenes. Lauren

few days we have been savoring the moments of one of

the biggest events in the lifetime of a parent. Moments that include

seeing the hydrangea in the old watering cans, the signs we didn’t get

to hang, (but you did), the colorful cloths enhancing predictable white

table coverings; the list goes on and on, all at the hands of Lauren and

Ruthie, Eutopia Events at its finest. Our ‘behind the scenes’ wizards.

I’d still be running around prepping if you had not insisted I go

inside, leave it to you two, and enjoy the day with my daughter. I did,

finally, knowing you knew our vision and had made it your own.

The lighting and lanterns magically swaying in the light breeze, the

Tiki lights bordering the field’s edge, the sky filled with stars—as we

all felt like stars because we had you at our back—tucking, tweaking,

placing, lighting and overseeing, with our taste and your great eyes for

detail, in-sync.

After all of the guests had left, I walked down the road to experience

what others had seen. I literally stopped in my tracks. It was no less

than awe-inspiring; the placement of the luminaries was the cherry on

top of an incredible evening. The volume of magical dotted light that

transformed the blackness of the new moon into a galaxy of delight

was unreal and truly breathtaking. The luminosity, quantity, and design

was spectacular and we never knew it was happening.

Eutopia Events was so much more than we could have ever imagined

it would be. Two very fine, very talented, organized visionaries. The

Day-of Wedding Coordination was essential given we were using our

own venue. As a Stylist/Set designer/Producer, I thought I could do it all

myself, but couldn’t have done it without Lauren and Ruthie.”

wedding preparations

yourself, but would like to

be able to enjoy all of your

hard work. Relax! We serve

as a resource for your guests,

bridal party, and vendors,

as well as to beautifully

execute and coordinate the

events of your day. We will

distribute final payments and

gratuities to your vendors,

oversee venue décor, and

collect keepsakes and gifts

at the end of the evening.
