evaluation of focus groups thoughts on our documentary

Evaluation of focus groups thoughts on our documentary Overall the responses from our focus group were very positive. Firstly, all 3 people gave individual answers so nobody really copied each other therefore their answers were honest. They all developed answers where necessary without me having to push them to do it which worked really well and provided us with enough feedback to get their true opinions and what they felt worked well. They all enjoyed the opening to the documentary and one person said that the books being pushed over was good as it related well to the meaning of the documentary- which was our initial aim. They all felt we used a sufficient amount of background footage and that the clips we did use were linked with our documentary, by this I feel they mean that in some of our cut-out clips we would use leaflets about university or somebody using social media as somebody was talking about it. Regarding question 4 I am glad that they found the documentary informative as we included a variety of interesting facts. Later on, at question 10 one girl brings up one of the facts about the high increase in anxiety and depression which shows we made they clear enough on screen and they stood out to the people viewing. They also all gave e documentary a rating of 9 on a level of interest which is only 1 off from it being 10 which is really good to know that they enjoyed it and it didn’t get boring. We didn’t want to come across to bias so when they all said it was a fair representation of both younger and older generations and they felt we included a good amount of both throughout the documentary shows we met our aim.

Evaluation of focus groups thoughts on our documentary

Overall the responses from our focus group were very positive. The music was one thing we hoped would be noticed but only once asked, in the sense that there were no jumps or loud parts which they felt interrupted the documentary so hearing them say it blended well and you didn’t really notice it because it just went well was really good They also came to conclusions themselves which was just an interesting thing to hear because it was treated like a real-life documentary an based on our facts, information and footage they all felt that teenagers were very stressed Unfortunately, I missed out question 7 by accident so I did not get to find out how realistic they found the documentary. But I will be carrying out questionnaires or even another focus group to gather more feedback so I will be sure to include it then.
