Construction - Filming• We learnt a lot whilst filming, we learnt all the different ways that we

could use the camera for different effects and how to use the dolly for the movement of the shots.

• Technology was helpful in the filming as obviously the cameras are very important in making the video. They were simple to use, apart from at times our camera cuts out and we had a restart it a few times.

• Whilst filming in the studio/stage at college, technology was very useful. As our actors were actually playing the instruments, it was very loud and they couldn’t the music to play along too. We found a way to make this better as there is a music system in studio for iPods and we hooked it out to that which helped out a lot, as we could all hear the music clearly and so the band could play in time.

• Also we got a big light to use for the main lighting to make the shadows and silhouettes. This was very useful as the room we were in was pitch black and it was the source of the light that we needed to make the shots that we needed.

Construction - Editing

We used Adobe Premiere to edit the music video.This was very useful as it was easy to use once we

familiarised ourselves with it.We did have a few problems with some of our footage and it kept making the program crash. However we have to leave that out to carry on with the main part of our video.

Research• A lot of the research was done on the internet. Google

was a very useful source to look up examples for the ancillary tasks and research on Auteur’s and Star Analysis.

• Using YouTube was helpful to look at different videos similar to the Goo Goo Dolls and with a similar genre and style.

PlanningFor planning, we created a group on Facebook to contact each other to organisefilming dates and blog posts. This is helpful as it was a fast way to contact each other

We used Tumblr for the blog. We’re all used to using this website and thought it would be easier for everyone to use this. It was good as you could link to other sites such as YouTube and embed codes from Slideshare.

Customising Tumblr

• On tumblr you can tag posts to see each induvidual group member’s posts.

• I customised the theme, it is plain but easy to use and look at the posts.

It easy to access our posts by using the sidebar

PhotoshopPhotoshop was very useful in the process, I used it to make the ancillary tasks. I already knew how to use it well and I think it does look very professional and stands out.

It’s easy to use

I used it for research, analysis and ancillary as it a good way of presenting analysis of a certain picture or still from video.

• Overall most of the technologies we used were digital as making a music video is a very digital process. They all combined together to make a good product, with every aspect of technology having a big part in making the final product. Every websites can interact with each other to make the process much more simple and easy to use.
