How coherent is the print How coherent is the print work?work?

I asked on my facebook group if they thought my products were coherent.

I wanted to use repetition of eyes in both my of my products as it went well with the name of the album “Through my eyes”. I used the same font for my advert and digipak to make the audience aware if was for the same artist. Many popular artists use the same font for their products and this is how audiences can identify them. With the colour scheme, I used white for both backgrounds (C=0% M=0% Y =0% K=0% HTML code – ffffff) to contribute to the coherent style. Though the only image used on my advert is of some eyes, I still thought the audience would recognise the artist from the style of font and colour usage. I used a picture of the artist from the music video for my print products also – so this could contribute towards the coherency.

Music is now available digitally over the internet so I decided to promote that my artists work was available on itunes.

Again as a way of promoting the products I placed a star rating from a popular music magazine ‘NME’ So that the audiences would be more convinced to listen to the music. Also our target audience are more likely to read NME more then other magazines e.g. Kerrang.

The advert for the album displays the same prop of the ‘lungs’ with an almost similar background.

Throughout all of her work, Florence and the Machine use the same font for their artist name. This is an element I tried to portray within my products. It gives the artist their own house style and brand image.
