Swachh Survekshan 2017:

Amongst 500 cities that participated in Swachh Survekshna 2017, Eluru city was

awarded 86th rank. Eluru stood at 14th place in Andhra Pradesh State amongst state

ULB’s and 1st in West Godavari District.

Housing for All 2017:

West Godavari District collector had allocated an extent of 66.65 acres land for

HOUSING FOR ALL project which will benefits 12000.

Proposals for preparation of GIS BASED REVISED MASTER PLAN for core City area

including 10 Gram Panchayats to extent of 98.26 Sq. Km were approved by

Municipal Council with C.R. No: 63/06.12.2016 and submitted to Government

through DTCP for approval. The objective of above proposals is to provide better

civic services and better administration and better utilization of resources and to

ensure integrated and comprehensive planning for development in and around

Eluru.

GIS Based Revised Master Plan:

Smart City:

Eluru has been selected as SMART CITY under State initiative. Go.no. 58 was

issued by Govt. for formation of SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) and accepting

Swiss challenge proposal. M/s Shapooji and Pallomji pvt. Ltd. is offering its

proposal under Swiss challenge. The objective of the proposal is to redevelop

Eluru with Smart technological initiatives in Water, Waste water, Transportation,

Energy Management sectors and in Urban Governance.

Renewable Energy :

Solar energy based initiatives are being implemented in the city by installing a

total 500KW capacity system in water works and Municipal office under renewal

energy service company by NREDCAP. Agreement concluded with M/S Clean Switch

India pvt. Ltd. with the project period of 25 years with a cost of 3.75 crores.

Credit Rating:

ICRA Ltd. was entrusted by APUFIDC for credit rating of the ULB. Based on all the

revenue and finances the Corporation was awarded BBB Credit rating by rating

agency.
