Events & Member Services Manager Main Job Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Events § Organize various meetings and events (internal and industry-related), including the following key organizational events: Expo Labrador, Northern Lights, and Northern Exposure; § Spearhead and support the attraction and development of new events through the LNCC’s Venture North brand; § Coordinate event registration and sponsorship with Finance and Operations Manager; § Liaise with event clients and suppliers; § Support various event committees (where applicable) in implementation of event-related decisions; § Coordinate work of support staff and volunteers as it relates to events management function. 2. Member Services § Manage the development and administration of member services and benefits program; § Plan and execute annual membership attraction and retention activities; § Seek out and secure new member benefits programs; § Liaise with LNCC members with respect to member benefits; § Coordinate work of support staff and volunteers as it relates to member services function. 3. Communications and Public Relations § Under the supervision of the CEO and Board of Directors, develop communications and public relations collateral for the organization as it relates to the events and member services function. This includes (but is not limited to): o press releases; o letters; o newsletters; o social media; o magazine content; o website content; o presentations; o reports; o proposals; o copy for marketing materials; o photography; o event banners and signage; o other materials as required. § Monitor and report on news and media coverage, including social media; § Coordinate work of support staff as it relates to events and member services function; § Join, participate and share learning from professional organizations and associations.

Events & Member Services Manager Main Job Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Events

Education and Experience

§ Minimum of university degree in business administration, communications and/or public relations, a related field, or acceptable combination of education and experience;

§ Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software; § Knowledge of principles and practices of communications, public relations and event

management profession(s). Key Competencies
