General Result!

• The answers to most of the questions by all three target groups were quite similar.

• All target groups think that the age of people applying for work is a significant factor

• In Turkey tarditions are very important for a women while

working.

Advanced Results

According to the trainees;• The trainees think the age is both an advantage and disadvantage, but

most of them find the age as adisadvantage, especially for women. (taditions in Turkey)

• Some think that being 50+ is a good advantage in terms of experience.• Mostly it is pointed out that men are prefered but some highlight that

hiring a 50+ woman will be a good idea due to the low salary!• According to the trainees a 50+ woman (in Turkey) won’t work unless she

needs money.• The major problem in the labour market is the working conditions (flexible

working hours, workplace, good salary…) but a few trainees think that you must change the minds of employers in order to encourage 50+ women to work.

• 50+ women find attractive easy jobs (according to their age and gender) and good salary jobs.

• They have cooperation, loyality, experience and organizing ability. They need flexibility, ICT skills, language skills

• Attractive offers will make 50+ women think about working such as godd salary, good workplace,…

• Age, health and family are the three most important factors of job satisfaction.

• ICT and language skills education are recommended.• ICT and language are the most important difficulties but some think that

healt and family are also difficulties.

According to the trainers;• There are advantages and disadvantages of age but mostly it is an

advantage because of experience.• Traditionaly men are prefered but 50+ woman's salary is lower.• Working or not, it is a problem of money according to the majority, but

healt and family are also important.• Better working conditions (flexible working hours, good salary,

comfortable workplace…) and extra social rights will encourage 50+ women to work.

• The kind of job is up to the age, experience and talents.• 50+ women have cooperation, loyality, experience and organizing ability

but they need flexibility, ICT skills, language skills.

• ICT and language education are recommended.• Age and health are the natural difficulties, but ICT and language are the

artificial ones.• 50+ women's ideas will be + as long as good salary and workplace is given.• Age, health status, working conditions, good salary, community regard,

family… These are the factors for job satisfaction.

According to the employers;• Mostly age is considered as an important factor for working but positively

(experience).• Hiring men or women depends on the performance bur salary is also

important.• 50+ women work or not. It is up to money mostly, but some think that

families are good reasons.• Change approach of employers and working conditions in the labour

market then 50+ women will be encouraged.• Good salary and better working conditions make most of the jobs

attractive for 50+ women.• They have cooperation, loyality, experience and organizing ability they

need flexibility, ICT skills, language skills.

• 50+ women’s ideas will be positive if the salary and working conditions are O.K.

• Age, health status, working conditions, good salary, community regard, family are the factors of job satisfaction.

• Most of the answres are “no”. But some recommend ICT and language education.

• ICT , language, health, time and families are the special difficulties for 50+ women’s vocational education.
