CAMART
is participant of the network
of Centers of Excellence
NANOSTRUCTURED MATERIALS
organized and coordinated by Prof. W.Lojkowski ,
High Pressure Research Center, Warsaw
The network includes 12 full members
and 15 associated members from all over Europe
![Page 7: Excellence Centre of Advanced Material Research and Technology CAMART Supported by European Commission Institute of Solid State Physics University of](https://reader035.vdocument.in/reader035/viewer/2022070407/56649e305503460f94b20680/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
NETWORK
NANOSTRUCTURED MATERIALS
Since May 2001 the network
organised
5 workshops that permitted integration and formation of thematic groups
![Page 8: Excellence Centre of Advanced Material Research and Technology CAMART Supported by European Commission Institute of Solid State Physics University of](https://reader035.vdocument.in/reader035/viewer/2022070407/56649e305503460f94b20680/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)
Structure of the network
main thematic groups covered research and applied areas :
• Nanopowders synthesis, ceramics sintering, optoelectronics applications;
• Bulk nanocrystalline metals;
• Polimer nanocomposites;
• Advanced magnetic materials
![Page 9: Excellence Centre of Advanced Material Research and Technology CAMART Supported by European Commission Institute of Solid State Physics University of](https://reader035.vdocument.in/reader035/viewer/2022070407/56649e305503460f94b20680/html5/thumbnails/9.jpg)
The network permitted for
•Acceleration of research in thematic topics
•Creation of new ideas by cross-disciplinary interactions of various groups, e.g., ceramic and polymer group, polymer and bulk nano-metals group etc
•The new ideas will form the basis forfuture projects.

We will submmit a NETWORK OF EXCELLENCE
Proposal
“Interfacial Effects of Nanostructured Materials”
W.Lojkowski (Poland) and other partners
Topics covered:
- Nanotechnology for structural applications
- Nanotechnology for information processing, storage and transmission
- Nanotechnology for (electro)chemical processing technologies
- Long term research with generic applications
-Instruments and equipment, supporting sciences and technologies
![Page 11: Excellence Centre of Advanced Material Research and Technology CAMART Supported by European Commission Institute of Solid State Physics University of](https://reader035.vdocument.in/reader035/viewer/2022070407/56649e305503460f94b20680/html5/thumbnails/11.jpg)
We want also to submmit a Project
OPTICAL NANO-CERAMICS FOR OPTOELECTRONICS AND PHOTONICS
• EoI is submmitted by D.Millers (Latvia) and partners
• Goal is R&D of advanced material- nanostructured optical ceramics
• Applications are foreseen: scintillators, position sensitive X-ray detectors, down-converting phosphors for new light sources, up-converting lasers, storage media.
• Unique optical, mechanical and may be electrical properties of material should be obtained.
![Page 12: Excellence Centre of Advanced Material Research and Technology CAMART Supported by European Commission Institute of Solid State Physics University of](https://reader035.vdocument.in/reader035/viewer/2022070407/56649e305503460f94b20680/html5/thumbnails/12.jpg)
Project fit well the following areas
of proposed NETWORK
• Nanotechnology for structural applications
• Nanotechnology for information processing and storage
• Due to the activities within existing NETWORK the
collaboration in R&D of optical nanoceramics is started.
