We will not be holding a P&C Meeting in the month of November. Our final meeting for this year will be held on 5 December at 5.30pm at the V-Wall Tavern followed by dinner at 6.30pm.
Executive Positions
The P&C executive positions of President, Secretary and Canteen Treasurer are currently being temporarily filled. The current temporary office bearers will not be taking up these positions at the next AGM so all of the executive positions will become vacant. We are therefore looking for any interested persons who may like to take on these roles any time from now. Please contact Jane Higgins ASAP.
PLAYGROUP Every Thursday - 10:00am to 12 noon at Giiguy Gamambi. 2yr to 3yr transition to Pre School. Morning Tea provided. TREASURE SEEKERS SURF N SAND CAMP This camp is an activity of the Christian Youth Centre and is being held from Thurs 3 Jan to Wed 9 Jan. The program includes spotlighting, beach activities, great treasure hunt, exciting crafts and lots of fun. Cost is $170 which includes meals and associated camp activities. Closing date is 5/12/12. REMEMBER THE 60’s The Open Arms Care 2012 Drama Concert is being held at 3.00pm on Saturday 24 November at the Entertainment Centre in Nambucca Heads. GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
The Guardian News will again publish the “Giving Back to the Community” promotion. This year Frank Partridge VC Public School has been lucky enough to be chosen by Lucky 7 Supermarket as their chosen sponsor. Just
by shopping or supporting Lucky 7 you can enter our school in the draw for the $1000 prize money donated by the Guardian News. The promotion starts on 21 November for three weeks, so tell all your friends and family to support this business. The more tickets in the box the more chance we have of winning. IPODS Please note that iPods should not be brought to school. NAMBUCCA VALLEY CHIDLREN’S XMAS PARTY AND EDUCATION OPEN DAY Come and enjoy a fun filled day and find out more about child services offered to the children of the Nambucca Valley. Free donkey Rides, jumping castle, face painting. Santa visit 1.00pm. Macksville Football Field, Saturday 24 November 10am - 2.00pm.
Our last Bookclub order for the year will be issued this week. Orders need to be returned to school by Friday 30th November.
CHRISTMAS CARD ART COMPETITION Mr Luke Hartsuyker MP recently invited our school to create a piece of art to go on the Christmas cards he sends out. He will send out over 600 cards, and one will most probably be sent to our Prime Minister, Ms Julia Gillard.
Congratulations to Cassie Ferris who won the competition and received the first prize of $50. Kyiesha Cohen won the second prize of $30 and Shakirra Silvia the third prize of $20.00. Well done to you all.
Mr Hartsuyker also kindly donated $50 to our P&C Association. COMMONWEALTH BANK STUDENT BANKING For the next four weeks, we are giving all students with a Youthsaver account the opportunity to win one of 12 iPad Mini’s for Christmas by simply completing a deposit through the School Banking Program. All they need to do is make a deposit any time between November 19 and December 14 and they will go into a draw to one of the iPads.
Classroom visits to Kindergarten and introduction to 2013 buddies. Parents do not need to stay for the full session but will need to collect their child by 11.30am.
