Brief Description of Nature of Project:
This is a mining project of Masonry Stone. B2 “As Per EIA Notification
Dated 14 September 2006 and Its Amendments & MoEF Notification New
Delhi S.O. 2269 (E) Dated 1 July 2016, this project fall under category “B2”.
EC granted for lease area is 1.00 Ha. This is a Existing mining lease for

of 1.0 ha. Proposed production capacity is 1,50,000 TPA. Proposal for
Amendment in EC for expansion in production capacity and including Stone
Crusher Plant M/s Sharma Stone Crushing Co. with capacity of 1,50,000
TPA.
(ii) Need for the project and its importance to the country and region
With the growing use of Masonry Stone as building construction material the
mining of Masonry Stone has received boom in last few years. There is good
market for Masonry Stone in India. In overseas market Masonry Stone is not
exported.

The increasing mining of mineral Masonry Stone has uplifted the economy
of Masonry Stone producing localities which has resulted into upliftment of
life standard of the people in the adjoining area. Beside contributing to the
exchequer of the State and Central Government.
(iii) Demand and Supply Gap
As mentioned above, the use of Masonry Stone as construction material is
growing constantly. Hence, despite of constantly increasing production of
Masonry Stone the whole production is consumed in the construction
industry and at present supply of Masonry Stone is less to fulfill the market
demands.
In fact, these days Masonry Stone is in short supply and its prices have also
gone up due to growth of demand.
(iv) Imports v/s Indigenous Production
Jaipur District has a number of Masonry Stone mines in the state of
Rajasthan. There is abundance of Masonry Stone in the area; it had become a
major source of economy in the area/region.
(v) Export possibility
A sizeable quantity of Masonry Stone produced in the State of Rajasthan.
Not export outside country.
(vi) Domestic/Exports Markets
Stone crusher plant will serve purpose of stone grit to nearby construction
industry. There is vast domestic market for Masonry Stone.
(vii) Employment generation (Direct & Indirect) due to the project
By this mining project of Masonry Stone in the area, peoples will get
employment. The project directly generates the employment for the local
people and indirectly for the others. Also the marketing of the product
generates the employment for peoples. By this project, approximately 21
persons will get direct i.e. 6 skilled, 15 Unskilled persons, in addition to
above large number of persons will get indirect employment from the
Masonry Stone mining project.

E. Mineable Reserves and Anticipated Life of the Mine
Mineable Masonry Stone reserve (Proved & Probable) = 11,57,000 Tonne.
Maximum targeted rate of production = 1,50,000 TPA
Life of mine= 11,57,000/1,50,000= 7.71 = 7 years and 7 month
F. Conceptual Mining Plan
Conceptual Mining plan is the ultimate limit of the pit (UPL) which is
assumed at the end or life of mine. Average general ground level of the area
is 505 mRL around lease area and Hill Top is at 509 mRL, from 509 mRL to
505ugl is proposed to go up to depth of 4m. From 505ugl to 455bgl is
proposed to go up to depth of 50m. Hence, total Mining is proposed to go up
to depth of 54 m from the Hill top. Mining is proposed up to 455 mRL.
Water table in the area is about 90 m bgl (415 mRL). Mining below water
table is not proposed. However, if water table is likely to be intersected
during mining, prior permission will be obtained from competent authority.
The waste dump will not exist at the end of life of mine. Plantation at
proposed site will be carried out to enhance green belt area and to confine
the Air pollution arising out of mining activity.
