Page 1: Expand your capabilities with IPM

Eaton’s Intelligent Power Manager (IPM) software provides the tools needed to monitor and manage power equipment in your physical and virtual environment keeping IT devices up and running during a power or environmental event.

An IPM Silver or Gold license is needed to fully benefit from the advanced capabilities that allow you to remotely manage and control devices on your network. An IPM Silver and Gold license will help you maintain business continuity and take control of your rack environment.

Expand your capabilities with IPM

• Intelligent load shedding: Increase system uptime while extending battery runtime and minimizing generator load by suspending non-critical virtual machines.

• Power capping on demand: Keep critical workloads running longer during a power outage by limiting server power consumption.

• Site Recovery Manager failover: Avoid data loss and ensure data integrity at all times. Reduce data recovery expenses by synching primary and disaster recovery sites prior to power failures.

• Less initial upfront batteries: Achieve the same amount of runtime with less batteries using load shedding.

• Reduce battery requirements: Use fewer batteries to minimize future battery maintenance and replacement.

• Promote a greener environment: Consume less energy and recycle fewer batteries.

• Power capping on demand: Limit server power consumption to alleviate environmental issues like high rack temperatures and humidity. (For Cisco UCS and HP iLO servers)

• Rack PDU control: Remotely turn on, off and reboot sections or individual outlets.

• Advanced virtual machine (VM) migration: Control, migrate and shutdown specific VMs on a target host.

Maximum control: Increase productivity and responsiveness

Achieve more with less:Reduce capital expenses
