◆ The maximum number of participants for the Wildlife Watching event is 4 people

VISITORS CAN BOOK TO JOIN TRIGLAV NATIONAL PARK’S 2016 EXPERIENCE PROGRAMME AT THE SPECIFIED DATES AND TIMES. THE PROGRAMMES WILL BE RUN AT ANY TIME FOR PRE-BOOKED GROUPS.

Guides can refuse to permit any person with unsuitable clothing or equipment from participating in the programme.

Exceptional natural and cultural heritage with a genuine presentation of the valley and its people. Includes a guided tour of the exhibition rooms of the Dom Trenta Information and Education Centre.

Guided walks along the Technical Heritage Path (lime kiln, Venetian sawmill) and the trail of the Krivopetnice Fairies (wildlife traces) can be booked by prior appointment.

A guided tour of the exhibition The Lake featuring an underwater documentary, screening of TNP’s film Captured Timelessness, and discovering nature’s hidden treasures using microscopes and lenses in the TNP Bohinj Nature Science Room.

An evening spent observing the night sky above Bohinj is an unforgettable experience. Very few places in Slovenia (accessible by car) have such a low level of light pollution as Bohinj. The introduction into the basics of astronomy will be followed by a practical observation of the spectacular night sky above Bohinj with your naked eye, binoculars, and a telescope.

A tour of the center and a local crafts class focusing on embroidery, knitting and crochet. Make your own Triglav National Park souvenir!

A traditional cooking and baking class brings you an amazing culinary and learning experience. Join skilled local ‘chefs’ for a demonstration and tasting of the area’s genuine dishes – jota (a sauerkraut and bean soup), obara (a local stew), žganci, štruklji, and bread – in the new kitchen of Center TNP Bohinj.

Retrace the legend of the Devil’s Bridge (Hudičev most) into the troughs of the Mostnica River. A visit to the newly opened Center TNP Bohinj connects the attractions and waters of Bohinj into a meaningful story line.

The Slovenian Alpine Museum in Mojstrana tells the stories behind the ascents of the highest mountains in Slovenia and worldwide. Step into your story – start at the museum and then take a walk along the Triglavska Bistrica Trail in one of Slovenia’s best-known valleys, the Vrata Valley.

Enter the park through the Tolmin Gorges and experience the roaring waters and the gorge’s special charm.

Triglav has an important mythological and historical value for Slovenes and features strongly in the nation’s identity.
