Experience Choices...Auburndale Senior High School is a community school with great history and traditions that provides students a world-class education focused on preparing all Bloodhounds for success in college, careers, and citizenship. This is accomplished through school, home and community partnerships within the Auburndale area.
Auburndale Senior High School is known for academic excellence. Teachers and staff work diligently developing the intellectual capacity of students while providing them an extraordinary environment that inspires greatness. We define greatness as “the ability to do the ordinary tasks of daily living in an extraordinary way.” We take a student-centered approach to guide our Bloodhounds in identifying and selecting their academic and co-curricular needs that enable them to attain their goals for the future. Our commitment is to ensure that every Bloodhound is known, valued, and inspired to succeed in the twenty-first century.
Our Bloodhounds are engaged in a rigorous academic curriculum offering a wide-range of intellectual pursuits and opportunities at the high
school and collegiate levels. These academic opportunities are provided in the context of an outstanding array of exciting electives, clubs, and organizations enabling students to develop a strong sense of their personal and professional interests as they develop into young adults.
Career Academies provide students the means to pursue industry certifications while in high school and expand their understanding of career opportunities through internships, externships, and interaction with professionals from varied industries. Dual Enrollment College Courses offer students the ability to obtain college credits, at no additional cost. Qualifying students may earn college credits through Dual Enrollment and Early Admissions. Dual Enrollment is an exciting program that allows high school students to earn credit toward a postsecondary diploma, certificate, or degree at a Florida public institution and toward a high school diploma. These real world experiences are valuable in preparing Bloodhounds for college and career opportunities. Advanced Placement courses prepare student for the rigors of post-secondary education. College credit can be a big reward, if you earn an AP Exam score of 3 or higher, for all the hard work you

AP Courses:
A minimum of 24 credits must be earned in grades 9-12 with a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
All students must pass the Florida Standards Assessment Test (FSA).
Students take seven classes per semester and earn 3.5 credits per semester.

All students are encouraged to participate in a variety of extra-curricular activities designed to help them develop their personal character, communication skills, and leadership.
Bloodhounds develop the ability to understand other perspectives and cultures. We prepare them for 21st century classrooms and work places that have diverse settings that require them to work well with others. We work with parents and community members to ensure our Bloodhounds have the interpersonal relationship skills and leadership abilities enabling them to evaluate other views and perspectives in a constructive manner while effectively communicating their own views and beliefs.
Graduation Requirements:
Agritechnology AcademyThis program of study in traditional agriculture operations include Animal Science and Horticulture. Students learn from hands-on activities, work in the classroom, and also through the largest student-run organization in the world, the FFA.

Auburndale Institute of Arts & MediaWhat’s so great about Auburndale? I AM! The newest of Auburndale’s Academies offers a program of study in Visual and Performing Arts, Graphic Arts, Digital Design, Television and Film Productions.
Architectural Design & Engineering AcademyThis program of study prepares students to use CAD technology to design and evaluate engineering drawings for production of a project. The program is also designed to provide the critical link between the design engineering process and manufacturing through the understanding of design principles, material properties, and manufacturing processes.
Grade levels: 10-12Dual-Enrollment allows students to move through high school and college in an efficient manner in keeping with their abilities and with sound educational practice. It allows students to earn high school and college credit during their high school tenure.
