Our experience of
Rumania
The people were hardworking. Most people had their
own garden and had it very well kept.
You were always welcomed with a big smile on the
face. If you had a problem, they would help you
find a solution.
They were two types of Gypsies. Those who had a good
standard of living and those who had poorer living
conditions.
Those who had a good standard of living: They were very
friendly and although things weren’t luxurious, they were
comfortable.
Those who had poorer living conditions: The girls had children
at an early age because they had no education. They did
what they wanted.
It wasn’t pleasant to see them live this way, but they were at ease it was their life style.
Cites we visited were very nice. It was all very green, there were a lot of fields. But the roads were pretty bad in some
places they had no lights and had many potholes.
Some things looked quite old, as it is a developing country.
One of the cities that we visited was
Sibiu, in the place that we visited there
were a lot of restaurants and souvenirs
shops.
In this castle there is a well that the
arabics prisioners dug. In a wall of the
castle the arabic prisioners wrote: «You
can drink water of here but you doesn’t
have soul.»
In this space next to the school, students who lived far could stay overnight and on weekends, went home. It was a
building with 20 rooms, four per floor, each room with three
beds, a bathroom and a mini lounge.
