EXPLORE ATLANTA.

HAVE FUN. When you’re located in Decatur, Georgia, just minutes away from downtown Atlanta,

your student experience is limited only by your imagination. You might:

SERVE with AID Atlanta, YWCA, Habitat for Humanity or any one of thousands

of nonprofit organizations.

EXPLORE a city that is home to over 20 colleges and universities, numerous large

and small concert venues, an awesome food scene and great weather.

ENRICH your knowledge of art, culture and social activism by visiting places like

the High Museum of Art, the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site or

The Breman Jewish Heritage and Holocaust Museum.

Before you graduate from Agnes Scott College, you will:

• Participate in a FACULTY-LED TRAVEL EXPERIENCE

• STUDY A NON-ENGLISH LANGUAGE of your choosing

• Complete a series of LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT courses, activities

and retreats

• Benefit from the mentorship of a personalized BOARD OF ADVISORS

(and the close attention that results from a 10:1 student-to-faculty

ratio)

• More than likely INTERN (77 percent of our students do) or SERVE

IN THE COMMUNITY (80 percent of Scotties serve)

• CONDUCT MENTORED RESEARCH (71 percent of the Class of 2016 did)

• Participate in traditions—like BLACK CAT, SPRING FLING and the

SOPHOMORE RING CEREMONY—that you will remember long after

you graduate

Fun? Yes. Challenging? Also yes. But as you’ll soon find out,

Scotties never back down from a challenge.

FUTURE SCOTTIE, JOIN US AS WE RAISE THE BAR ON A LIBERAL ARTS EDUCATION.

WHY ARE SCOTTIES

SCOTTIES GRADUATE READY TO

TAKE ON THE WORLD.Our graduates are equipped to lead in a rapidly evolving global society—and to pursue

meaningful careers that enable them to apply their strengths to the work that’s most

important to them.

56 percent of Scotties had accepted or received

an offer of employment before commencement.

95 percent of our graduates who applied to

graduate school were accepted into at least one program.

Through SUMMIT, Agnes Scott has reimagined education for the 21st century

by infusing global learning, leadership development and mentorship into our

curriculum—starting the moment you set foot on campus. The goal: to enable

every Scottie to be an effective change agent in a global society.

You will complete courses and experiential

activities designed to hone your personal

leadership style while mastering five

foundational skills: critical thinking,

writing, public speaking, teamwork and

digital literacy.

You will embark on a faculty-led

international study tour (covered

by your tuition), study a non-English

language and get involved in culture-

focused courses and activities to

enhance your understanding of

our interconnected world.

You will build a team of mentors to guide

you toward the classes, internships and

experiences that will help you achieve your

goals. Your team will include a SUMMIT

Advisor, SUMMIT Peer Advisor, Major

Advisor and a Career Mentor or optional

Career Ally.

Starting in your first semester, you will

begin to organize and curate your

meaningful undergraduate experiences,

accomplishment and reflections in the

form of a digital portfolio, providing you

with a collection of engaging material to

show future employers or graduate school

selection committees.
