(D)DAY 3 I PISTOIA I FLORENCE TOUR Today’s tour will take you toFlorence, a magical and magnificent city known for its art, historyand culture. Your walking tour will take you through streets andpiazzas lined up with elegant Renaissance style buildings andgorgeous marble sculptures, fine leather and jewelry stores, andrestaurants serving delicacies that have made the Tuscan cuisinefamous worldwide. This town is wellknown for its magnificent 16th and 17th century ramparts, whichhaving remained intact, encircle its narrow streets which are linedwith many medieval buildings. In the afternoon, we continue toPisa to see its incredible Leaning Tower. It is 14 feet off center atthe top because of settling after construction was started in 1173.Your visit of Pisa will also include a sightseeing tour of Pisa’sCampo dei Miracoli, or Field of Miracles, to see the Baptistery andDuomo (entrance included); all are fine examples of the Pisan-Romanesque architectural style. Set in the most beautiful Tuscan countrysideof rolling hills, lush vines, and gray-green olive trees. Siena offersmuch to see, from the fine palaces that line the narrow-cobbledstreets and the superb Duomo, to the celebrated Piazza delCampo where the famed Palio horserace is run yearly.
