I went to the market of ironworkAnd I bought chainsHeavy chainsFor you my loveAnd then I went to the market of slavesAnd I looked for youBut I did not find you there, my loveIn the beginning there were the markets. The Arabs called the market souk. The Persians bazaar. The Spanish mercado. The French people marche. One French poet named Jacques Prevert created a poem about marches.

And people saw, that the market was good and created the fair.Fairs usually celebrated the days of Saints. People paid the goods in gold and silver coins, copper coins and salt, which in ancient times was as expensive as the gold.
