The Hügli Nährmittel AG, Switzerland,was established in 1935 as a manufacturerand marketer of quality bouillons, powdersoups and sauces for the food service/cateringindustry. In 1986 the Hügli Group wentpublic (registered at the stock exchangeZürich), however the majority of shares arestill privately held by the founder familiy.

Today the Hügli Group has productionplants in Switzerland, Germany and CzechRepublic and employs around 1100 people.The annual turnover of approximately Euro200 millions can be allocated to the followingfour divisions:

The Hügli Group maintains an up to20% share in the home markets ofSwitzerland, Germany and Austria. The pro-duct range covers a full assortment of qualitybouillons, powder soups, sauces and desserts.Despite the saturated markets and the aggres-sive marketing by the food giants (Unilever,Nestlé, etc.), the Hügli Group has increasedits market share over the last few years.

Product DevelopmentAll our products have been developed

and approved by our famous chef, who asleader of the Swiss National Chefs Team wonGold medals at the Chefs World Champion-ships in 1995 and the Chefs Olympics in1996.

All our products are developed and pro-duced by Hügli to the highest standards andquality.

ConvenienceProducts that require milk in their prepa-

ration can be made using UHT milk.

TechnicalAll our products are made using as

many natural ingredients as possible.All our products are made with as few

animal derived ingredients (e.g. beef fat) aspossible in order to provide products that aresuitable for vegetarians. We only use animalfats in specific products such as: chicken inChicken Bouillon, Chicken Soup and beef inDemi-Glace.
