CLUBS INFORMATION TERM 2, 2014

The clubs programme at the English International School, Prague is an essential part of the life of the school enjoyed by huge numbers of students, staff and parents alike. This term we have canvassed the students through the Student Council to try to make sure that we are offering clubs that the children really want to be a part of and to make the clubs programme even better.

What time do the clubs take place?

For Pre-Nursery to Year 2 the majority of clubs will run from 2.50pm and finish at 3.30pm, however, you will now see that there are a few clubs that offer the opportunity for your child to join in from 3.30pm – 4.30pm. For Years 3 to 13 the clubs start at 3:30pm and finish at 4:30pm. There are some lunch time clubs available, as you will see from the overview. All students finishing a club at 4:30pm should be picked up from the Vaclav Havel Theatre, where a member of staff will be on hand to ensure their safe departure.

Where do the clubs take place?

For the location of each club please refer to the information about the clubs in this document, if the location is not specified please enquire at reception once you have booked your clubs.

How do I book the clubs?

There is an application form attached separately to this document, please complete it and send it to Miss Adriana Moskalova at [email protected] or leave the completed form at reception desk by Thursday 9th January 2014 at the latest.

For the private clubs, please contact the tutors directly. The private clubs are highlighted in red.

Do I need to pay for the clubs?

We are offering a combination of school clubs provided by our staff and private clubs run by private tutors. School clubs are available free of charge. Private tutors charge a fee for their clubs on top of the school fees. Private clubs are marked in red on the overview and in the explanation. The cost of the private clubs is listed next to the description of the club. The fees of the private clubs need to be arranged directly with the private tutor.

How long does my child stay in the same club?

Normally, students attend the same club throughout the whole term. A new club can be assigned again the next term. If there are any problems with a particular club, then please feel free to contact me directly on [email protected]

I hope that your child enjoys this term’s clubs programme at EISP!

Best wishes,Caroline Troughton
