PrefaceThe problem with interior design, especially when it comes to window dressing, is not lack of information. In fact, it is quite the opposite. Google up “Curtain”, “Blinds”, “Upholstery”, and “Wallpaper” and you willdefinitelygetanoverwhelminglistofinformation - and that does not guarantee useful information.

Therefore, I have decided to give Clear, Simple, and Useful Solutions to you. With the intention of helping you to save time.
We at MGL Curtain, have been in the business for decades. After furnishing 10,000 windows, we can safely say that we are able to systematically solve all curtain & blind problems you may have.
I’m Vester from MGL Curtain, let’s start our journey now. You can email me at [email protected] and I will reply within the shortest possible time.
Fabric CareA piece of window treatment by the window does block the dust from getting into
the house, yet it doesn’t really require regular cleaning.
1. Vacuumingthemeveryquarterandwashingthemyearlyisjustfine.
2. Curtains and drapes do not need to be washed on a regular basis. These fabrics
should be handled with as little as possible.
3. It is the moisture in your hands that adds dirt to these fabrics. Use draw rods,
rather than your hands, to pull the curtains. This will help alleviate this problem
and will extend the time required in between cleaning by 1-1.5 years.
4. Too much washing of the fabrics will making them look limp and lifeless.Look at the fold for fabric with good draping quality. If we wash too often, the fold will disappear.
Stain Removal What if some stains were accidentally added to the nice looking curtain?
Vinegar or Rubbing Alcohol is a helpful way in removing stains on your curtains.
Just add a few drops of vinegar or rubbing alcohol with water and apply it on the
affectedarea.Rubtheappliedareawithcleanclothtoremovethestain.
Wash - In House or Dry Clean? What kind of Washing Mode and Temperature?
How to we decide to wash in house or dry clean?
One way is to check with your curtain suppliers as they are the ones deciphering the
care symbol everyday.
Alternatively you can follow the clearly shown fabric care symbols in this chapter.
Rule of ThumbDimout Fabrics is the most common
choice. Wash it at home with room
temperature water inside a laundry bag,
separated from other clothing.
For delicate material like silk, velvet,
wool,acetateandtaffeta,youwill
definitelyrequiredrycleaning.
Embroidery that is glued instead of
sown to the fabrics should be dry
cleaned as well. The reason is dry
cleaning uses heat and pressure as its
cleaning medium instead of water.
For linen, cashmere, nylon, sown
embroidery and polyester, you can
safely wash it at home.

Dry CleaningNote that there are some restriction when we send the curtain for dry cleaning as well.
In-House DryingMostofthetime,thecurtainfabricsthatIrecommendneednotspecificdrying,just
wash and remove from laundry beg and hang at the track. Most people do not know this
but the track is the most suitable place to hang, and dry a curtain.
However, if you really want to dry a curtain using dryer.
Ironing
(Likewise, normally there is no need to iron the curtain - please ask Vester)
(if you do, or if your maid have to, please do the following)
