Career Profile Dr. Namrata Jain has been teaching literature courses in English for ten years at University of Delhi. She
completed her graduation and masters in English literature from Hans Raj College, University of Delhi and
went to CES, SLL&CS, Jawaharlal Nehru University to pursue M.Phil. English and Ph.D. Her area of
interest/research is Gender Studies, Literary Theory, European Drama, Modernism, and
Contemporary Indian Theatre. She is an active theatre practitioner since 1999 encompassing script writing,
set design, acting, and direction. She is an independent artist and writes poems and short stories to creatively
