TARGET AUDIENCE This program is designed for obstetricians, gynecologists, radiologists, family medicine physicians, genetic counselors, sonographers, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, residents, medical students and other interested allied health professionals.

OBJECTIvESThe goal of the Ultrasound Symposium is to bring the level of practice for the clinician and sonographer to a higher degree of proficiency in obstetric and gynecologic ultrasonography. The utility of 2D and 3D sonography in obstetrics and gynecology will be examined.

The practitioner should be able to diagnose ultrasound findings in a variety of clinical scenarios including fetal cardiac, central nervous system, gastrointestinal and renal malformations, ectopic pregnancy, adnexal masses and in urogynecology.

ACCREDITATIONEastern Virginia Medical School is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

CREDIT DESIGNATIONEastern Virginia Medical School designates this live activity for a maximum of 14.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Application has been made to the SDMS for CME credit.

AAPA accepts Category 1 credit from AOACCME, Prescribed credit for AAFP, and AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME.

Genetic Counselor CEUs: This event has been submitted to the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) for approval of Category 1 CEUs. The American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) accepts CEUs approved by NSGC for purposes of recertification. Approval for the requested CEUs and Contact Hours is currently pending.
