FairEntry is designed to make entering exhibits for the Grundy County Fair easier than ever. Enter your Grundy County Fair (and Iowa State Fair Livestock) exhibits right from the comfort of your own home without having to come in to the Extension Office to complete forms.
WHO: FairEntry can be used by any active 4-H,
Clover Kid, FFA Member & Open Class Exhibitors
WHAT: All of the exhibits you are planning to
bring to the fair! Livestock & / or Static Exhbit Ex-
hibits can be entered in FairEntry. Open Class also
has its own separate FairEntry log in.
WHEN:
Livestock : FairEntry will be open June 17th until
July 1st 11:59 pm for livestock exhibits without a
late charge. It will remain open with a $10.00 late
fee for livestock exhibits until July 3rd 11:59 pm.
Static (Non-Livestock): Static Entries are due July
12th. The static entry period will be open from
June 17th and will close on July 12th at noon.
(This will allow our office to approve and print
your exhibit tags and have them for you at the fair
when you check in.)
REMEMBER:
All animal entries & stall fees
are due July 1st. Late entries will be accepted from July 2nd to July
3rd with a $10.00 Late Fee.
Static Exhibits must be
entered on 4honline.com and are
due July 12th by by noon Corrections or changes can be made at the
check in table.

NEW! Due to a change in insurance policy all youth
participating in Clover Kid activities such as Bucket Bottle Calf, Bottle Lamb, Poultry, Rabbit, Meat or Dairy Goat, Pets, Dog Obedience, Communications, Fashion Show & Static Exhibits must be enrolled in 4-H Clover Kids.

What are Clover Kids?
Clover Kids are youth in grades Kindergarten-Third grade during the 2018
-2019 school year. To participate at fair they need to have
completed Kindergarten—Third grade.
HOW DO I ENROLL MY YOUTH IN CLOVER KIDS?

• IF you have a family account. You log into your 4honline family
account and then add another youth.
• If you do NOT have a 4honline family account you will need to
create a profile and select Grundy County Clover Kids as a club.
• If you need help please call the Extension Office at 319-824-6979!
• Once you have added your youth please notify the office so that we
can update fairentry.com so that you do not have to reenter the
youth information.
My child has not attended any Clover Kid Meetings can they still show?
• Clover Kids are encouraged to attend club meetings but not required
to attend 4 meetings as the 4-H 4-12 grade members do. We are
aware that new members will not have opportunities to attend
meeting and will work with our families.

How do I enter my projects online? To make Grundy
County Fair entries go to: http://grundy.fairentry.com
Who can use it? FairEntry can be used by any active 4-H,
Clover Kid & FFA member.
What can I enter? All of the exhibits you are planning to
bring to the fair! Livestock &/or Static Exhibits.
What if I enter exhibits and then do not bring them? NO
problem. Just let us know what you did not bring when you
check in.
What if I have extra exhibits that I didn't enter online:
Livestock exhibits have to be entered by July 1st to avoid a
late fee or by July 3rd, to be eligible to be shown at the fair.
Static exhibits need to be entered by July 12th by noon.
I forgot my 4honline login info, but want to do my entries
online. How? NO problem. Simply contact the Extension
Office. We can look up your username and reset your
password. This information will carry over directly to
FairEntry from 4honline.
What if I submitted my entries and forgot one or more?
Entries must be approved once you submit them. You will
get a confirmation email from FairEntry, once approved.
When staff approves them, you can create an additional
entry or entries and submit again.
What if I submitted my entries but made a mistake?
Let us know asap! If something isn't right , we can send it
back to you to fix.
What about FFA members? Yes, FFA members can use this
program too! If they are also in 4-H use your 4-H account
login but select your FFA club when asked for club. Mem-
bers in FFA only select “Not in 4-H and need to create a
FairEntry account”.
GENERAL FAIR FAQS:
What do I need to bring to Static (Non-Livestock)
judging day?
• Your Exhibit(s) (Labeled with your name, club & class #
• Goal Sheet (It is recommended to include explanation of
2 design elements and art principles.)
Where can I get Goal Sheets? Forms are available on your
4honline homepage. We will NOT be mailing any forms but do
have forms available for pick up at the office.
Do I need to pre-register to take static exhibits to the fair?
YES! You need to register your exhibits by Friday, July 12th at
noon. We can make corrections or changes to an entry at the
check in table.
Where do I get a Fair Book? The Fair Book is available on
your 4honline homepage & www.extension.iastate.edu/
grundy.
How do I know what class my exhibit goes in? The first ques-
tion you should ask yourself is: What is my goal for this exhib-
it? For example, I want to bring a pillow to fair. Was the goal
to learn how to sew? Then it goes in Sewing and Needle Arts
class. Was the goal to coordinate a pillow with the rest of
your bedroom décor? Then it would be Home Improvement.
What if I can’t find a class for my exhibit? If you are not able
to find a class for your exhibit in the fair book, it may be in-
cluded under Self Determined.
How do I prepare my photo? Read the Photography class
rules in the Fair Book. The specifics of what size and how it
should be matted are there. You will need a Photography
Form attached to the back of the photo. The Photography
form is available on your family homepage on 4honline.
What do I wear to exhibit at fair? Non-Livestock can wear
your county or club 4-H shirt. Livestock Exhibitors need to
wear the county 4-H tshirt or FFA Chapter tshirt. NO State Fair
or County Fair Theme tshirts. Dairy Exhibitors see Dairy
section of Fair Book & Horse Exhibitors see Horse section of
Fair Book .

Late fees are applied starting July 2nd in the
amount of $10.00. Entries are not approved if the
entry fee is not received by July 3rd. Entries
received after July 3rd are not approved or eligible
to exhibit.

FFA EXHIBITORS: Iowa Code Of Ethics Form Due July 1st to the Extension Office
Swine Exhibitors: Forms needed for our packer will be sent to Swine Exhibitors and
due along with A Drug Affidavit at Swine Check In on July 16th at
the Grundy County Fair.
Static Exhibitors: The following forms need to come to fair with Static Exhibits:

Family FairEntry Instructions:
1. Go to http://grundy.fairentry.com
2. How to enter the database: 4-H & Clover Kid (enrolled) Exhibitors:
Select “Sign in with your 4HOnline account options”

Youth Exhibiting in 4-H & FFA:
Select “Sign in with your 4HOnline account options”

FFA & Clover Kid (Not enrolled in 4-H) Exhibitors:
Select the words “Not in 4-H and need to create a
FairEntry account?” (In BLUE at bottom of screen)
3. Log In Instructions: 4-H, FFA ( and enrolled in 4-H), and Clover Kid (enrolled):
A separate box will pop up where you can enter the login email address
and password from 4HOnline.
Click the “Login” button
This will take you to the Welcome screen where you
will select the GREEN box to begin registration.
FFA (not enrolled in 4-H) and Clover Kid (not
enrolled in 4-H):
Click on the link to create a FairEntry Account. (First time, then after that,
if you are logging back in, enter the email & Password that you created
and click the Sign in Link) Enter your information and
click Create Account.
4. Exhibitor Information (All Exhibitors)
Click “Begin Registration”
You may enter an individual or team. Team can be used for Livestock
Judging, communication events, and any joint projects.
Choose if you would like to register an individual or team and click that
GREEN box.
4-H, FFA (and enrolled in 4-H), and Clover Kid (enrolled):
As separate box will pop up where you can choose which exhibitor you
would like to register. Click Continue.
FFA (not enrolled in 4-H) and Clover Kid (not enrolled in 4-H):
Enter a New Individual Exhibitor. Enter the information into the four
fields. All fields are required. Click Continue when all the information is
entered. (If you need to make a correction you can select Delete this ex-
hibitor and start over)
Enter the information on the Contact Info screen – the only required field
is the top Home Phone Number. You can use the same email address that
you used to create the account, or an alternate one. If you wish to re-
ceive text messages, enter your cell phone number and carrier. That
number can be the same as the Home Phone Number entered above, or
different. Click Continue when you are finished entering data.
Enter your mailing address. All fields except address continued, are re-
quired. As the onscreen help states, the address entered here will be
used for mailing premium checks, etc. Click Continue when all the infor-
mation is entered correctly.
5. QUESTIONS (All Exhibitors)
Please READ and answer all questions. That is step 4 on the progress bar at
the top. You will not be able to go back and edit the answers to your ques-
tions once you hit Continue. Once you have answered questions and are
satisfied with your answers. Click Continue.
5. FILES (All Exhibitors)
If you are asked to upload any files for your entry, those will be step 5 on
the progress bar. Upload requested files, and click continue.
6. REVIEW (All Exhibitors)
Review your exhibitor information. If any information is incorrect, click
green Edit button in the appropriate group to change it. When all the in-
formation is correct, click Continue to Entries.
Creating Entries Each exhibitor can have multiple entries. One entry must be made for each item, animal, class, etc. for example if an exhibitor is
bringing 2 photographs, two entries into the photography class must be created. If an exhibitor is showing one horse in 5 events,
five class entries must be created. Once all entries have been created for the first exhibitor, you have the choice of creating anoth-
er exhibitor in this family (and entries) or proceeding to check-out (submitting the entries, whether or not fees are charged).
1. Click Add an Entry Beside the correct exhibitor.
2. Click Select beside the first department you wish to enter.
3. Click Select Division and then select Class from that division.
4. After you have selected the class, click the Green Continue Button.
5. If this is an animal class entry, you may be required to specify which animal
will be exhibited in this class; that may be optional; or you may NOT be able
to do that, you will see the option to “Add an animal”.
FFA and Clover Kid Exhibitors will need to Add Animals. FFA animal paper ID’s
will be reviewed.
6. Fill in all of the fields with the information about the animal you intend to
exhibit. Click Create and Add Animal when finished. If you have selected the
wrong animal you have the option to either Remove From Entry (Creating a
new animal) or Edit Animal Details. When it is correct, click Continue.
7. Any questions or files uploads related to entry in this class will be next.
Click continue after answering those questions or uploading documents.
8. The Review screen allows you to double check this entry for accuracy, and
make any changes necessary. When the information is correct, click Continue
and that class entry is complete.
9. When each class entry is complete, you have 3 choices for what to do next:
a. If all class entries have been completed for one exhibitor, you can
Register another Exhibitor in this family.
b. If this exhibitor has more class entries to make, you can Add another
Entry for this Exhibitor.
c. If all entries for all exhibitors in the family have been completed
Continue to Payment to finalize and submit your entries.
10. Review your Entries for completeness and accuracy. If there are errors,
click on the green Entries section at the top of the page. Click Continue
when all information is correct.
11. Read the payment instructions and select your method of payment.
GRUNDY COUNTY ONLY ACCEPTS CHECK OR CASH!

Note: Even if you owe no money (no fees are charged) you must click
Continue to the last “Confirm” step to submit your entries.
12. Read the information in the “After you submit” section. You may also
have to check a box to “Agree to Terms”. Click SUBMIT to finalize the en-
tries for the exhibitors in this family. After you click Submit, no changes are
possible to these entries. You may go back and enter more classes but it will
be on a separate invoice. The current entry invoice has to be approved be-
fore you can make new entries.
