Fenway House is a coed

independent living group for MIT students. We are 20 men and women sharing a large five story house in

Boston’s Back Bay, a 20 minute walk from the MIT campus. A short walk from the house gets you to Fenway Park, the Boston

Symphony, Museum of Fine Arts, the Prudential mall, the Back Bay Fens (a large park), and all the

restaurants and stores in-between. You can see Fenway Park from our house, and we can hear the cheers during games from our windows (it’s pretty cool).

We have all kinds of people living here, from all over the country and all over the world. Most of us are undergraduates, but we always have a couple graduate

students and visiting foreign students, which spices up house diversity. Most majors are represented, and residents are involved in a variety of extracurricular activities. Fenbeings are

a social, tight-knit group, going out for brunch, out to the theatre, and organizing weekly Dessertnites and creative parties throughout the term.

At Fenway House, there are lots of singles, a few doubles, and occasionally a triple or a quad. Each room is unlike any other, with its own unique morals,

lofts, and history. Between our kitchen, breakfast room, music room, living room, library, and ping pon room, Fenbeings have lots of public space to spread out and enjoy life in the whole house.

Fenway House has a significantly lower rent than dorms and most other off-campus living places, and rent includes food!

NOTICE #6

Our coeducational society is devoted to debating what it means to be a literary

society. Should we require bow ties at dinner and play Brahms at our parties, or tag every

available surface like C215? Sure we get a kick out of algebraic topology, but every once

in a while it’s nice to take off the pocket protector and ask ourselves what Jules Verne

intended when writing Paris au XXe siècle. Current members hail from almost twenty

countries, so we always have at least one major world conflict in miniature.

Student House is a co-ed living group located a bit off campus from MIT. We're located at 111 Bay State, Boston MA 02215 right in the midst of MIT fraternities, BU dorms, Fenway Park, and Kenmore Square. Shuttles (Boston Daytime, Boston West) run daily during the year to and fro campus.

The house is a co-ed living space. We normally have around 24 kids living here. Though we live in one of the richer parts of Boston, we are actually the cheapest option of living at MIT at $370 per month including food. We do have to do chores though which are like an hour of cleaning each week plus 24 house hours (which you do throughout the semester to fix up things in the house). The house also includes a new drum kit, a piano, a bunch of acoustic guitars, a bass guitar, various amps, Guitar Hero, an accordion, and other instruments for the musically inclined.

WILG

The Women's Independent Living Group (WILG) is one of the few all-women housing options at MIT. We're an independent living group that houses about 45 residents. WILG was founded with the belief that a group of hard-working women can manage their own house, and we've been doing just that for over 30 years.

355 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02139 Starting from 77 Massachusetts Avenue, walk towards Central Square for 0.4 miles. You will pass Star Market and Random Hall. WILG is located on the right, directly across from the Asgard restaurant and next to the Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity.
