Whether you’re digging, trenching, backfilling or handling material, equip your Backhoe Loader rear buckets with Diagonal Retention System (DRS) tips and adapters. This upgrade is designed to ease the exchange of tip replacement without the need for special tools, even when there is tight clearance between tips.

Heavy-duty bucket teeth are attached with diagonal pins rather than horizontal pins for easy exchange. The adapters are stronger as a result of this improved diagonal pinning and additional wear material on the bucket teeth increase durability. In-shop only. MAP-GET-1

A serrated edge penetrates better than a continuous edge because it exerts more down pressure. A curved serrated edge penetrates better than a flat serrated edge with a forward mold board.

RECONDITIONING OR FINISH GRADING AN EXISTING ROAD SURFACE

Curved edges penetrate the roadway while carrying existing material forward to leave a smooth flat surface. A better penetrating option is a curved serrated edge. A serrated edge will not leave as clean a roadway surface as a continuous edge.

COLD WEATHER CAN BE HARD ON MACHINES. HERE ARE SOME TIPS TO KEEP YOUR MACHINES RUNNING IN GREAT CONDITION DURING COLD WEATHER.

To assist in warm-up, block the radiator. Blocking the radiator will restrict air from the fan.

To better prepare your machines for cold weather try the following:

- Use block heaters

- Use enclosed storage facilities when machines are not being used

Be sure to install the correct lubricants.

Provide the correct cooling system protection for the conditions you will be working in.

Inspect all rubber parts weekly: hoses, tires and fan drive belts.

Check all electrical wiring and connections for any fraying or for damaged insulation.

Keep all batteries fully charged.

Always fill the fuel tank at the end of the shift.

Check the air cleaners and the air intake on a regular basis.

Before your shift, run the engine until it reaches operating temperatures.

If your machine is shut down for more than 16 hours, the engine will cool to the external temperature.

Keep all starting fluid at room temperature and inject starting fluid only while the engine is cranking.
