Meet our SpeakersDavid Parkin | Sports Professional and Motivational SpeakerDavid has an extensive background in the sporting industry. He spent twenty-four years as Senior Coach for the Victorian Football League/WAFL/AFL and nine years as Physical Education Adviser to Hawthorn Football Club. A prolific writer, David has written and published more than a dozen books and numerous articles. His book Winning With Pumped Up People (2001) co-authored with Paul Bourke, focuses on helping employers and employees achieve business success in a changing marketplace.

Matt Haymes | Haymes PaintHaymes Paint is a fourth generation family run business, established in 1935 in Ballarat. Theresa Sfetkidis | Luv-a-Duck LtdLuv-a-Duck started fifty years ago by Theresa’s father, with twenty ducklings in his back yard. After their father passed away nine years ago, Theresa and her sister Kim took over. Since then they have doubled the size of the business and rebuilt a modern and world’s best practice facility in Nhill. The first of the next generation has now started in the business after completing an internal cadet ship finishing with more formal qualifications combined with work experience. The younger family members work part time in the business and are at university. They are invited to attend the board meetings on occasions and are being kept informed on the future vision for the business.

Dominic Pelligana, KPMG EnterpriseDominic Pelligana is Partner in Charge, Melbourne, Enterprise, KPMG and works exclusively with large private and family owned business clients providing a range of tax and business advisory services across range of industries including agriculture, property, retail and the wine industry. Dominic is actively involved with Family Business Australia (FBA) and has led KPMG’s Family Business Practice since 2005, which has included presenting at numerous FBA conferences as well as writing thought leadership for the Firm in this area.
