What’s in a name?We called ourselves White Castle for a very specific reason (not

just because it sounds great). The word “white” is used to invoke

a feeling of cleanliness, and the word “castle” to convey strength,

stability, and permanence.

A 2x2” 100% beef patty, steam-grilled on a bed of onions

with a slice of pickle and served on our signature bun. Since

it’s inception, we’ve greatly expanded the types of Sliders

we offered, including Cheese Sliders, Chicken Sliders, Veggie

As a producer of food, one of our core values is to not waste this

precious commodity. So whenever possible, our food manufacturing

facilities and bakeries either donate to local farmers, divert inedible

food scraps for composting, or donate to local food banks.

Since 1992, the company has used Duro-Last white roofing for new

construction, which reflects over 86% of the sun’s energy and helps

reduce energy costs.

Currently, all new restaurants receive LED lighting. This technology is

expected to use 33 percent less kWh per store then with our traditional

lighting and, due to the longer usable life, will save money on installation

costs. We’ve also recently unveiled our new 80,000-square-feet, LEED

Gold-certified frozen food plant in Vandalia, Ohio.

Customers turned out in masses for the grand opening, proving

the power of White Castle brand. Consumers were willing to

wait in lines for over 4 hours to satisfy their craving and to bring

back memorable moments from an earlier time in their life.

White Castle entered a partnership to launch a White

Castle in Las Vegas with Herbst-Richardson. The firm

owns and operates a number of restaurants on the West

Coast as well as Convenience stores in Nevada.
