Legends are stories told by our ancestors and these stories can

be real, fictional, folklore, traditional and even mix stories. Legends are form to scare kids

and entertain listeners and some stories long told to be true and still missing evidences to prove its existence. Here are some of the famous legends that was

written in history:

Atlantis

The Legend of the Lost City Atlantis is one of the famous tales in history, many have told the story but the original creator of this tale is Plato. The story is about Athens and the Atlanteans attack Athens and eventually lose.

The god sank the city of Atlantis in the bottom of the Atlantis Ocean. The story have been use in many movies and stories, some are still trying to find out the truth about this mysterious city.

Fountain of Youth

The Fountain of Youth is a pond, spring or pool that when drunk or bathe you will restore youth and gain eternal youth for millennium. The story was told by Herodotus that the Macrobians live longer than a regular human lifespan.

In the Eastern version of the story titled “Water of Life” , Alexander the Great and his men travel to the Land of Darkness in search of the spring of life. Many movies and even cartoons and TV series have used this story so many times.

Robin Hood

The famous thief and defender of the poor and innocent Robin Hood is a skilled swordsman and an accurate marksman. The story tells about a man and his band of merry men who stole from the rich to give to the poor..

The folklore is very famous in the medieval period and until now the story is being use in many movies and theater acts.

King Arthur

The story of King Arthur is folklore about a British leader who defended Britain against the war between the Saxon. This great story also tells the story of how Arthur battled and defended his empire from the invading enemies with the help of his Knight of the Round Table.

Helen of Troy

The famous Greek Mythological tale of Helen of Troy is also famous for the name Helen of Sparta, the daughter of the god Zeus and Leda. The story is also the start of the famous war “Trojan War”. The story also includes the story Iliad and the Odyssey tale.
