eremy Scott Beckham and Alexis Loretta Levitt were both charged with failure to obtain a permit to gather and/or demonstrate a class B misdemeanor. The offense happened on July 16, when Beckham and several others stood outside the Lagoon Amusement Park to protest the treatment of the park's zoo animals using cardboard signs on the edge of the street."We look forward to wining in court and restoring the First Amendment in the immediate near future," Beckham wrote publicly on his Facebook page on Thursday afternoon.Beckham explained that the city of Farmington wanted the group to pay a $50 fee each time they protested.
