n Wednesday, June 8th we had our Gilligan’s Bike night up in Sherburne, NY featuring the Marine Tribute Bike. I would like to thank a few people for helping to put on a GREAT event; Johnny Q, Sherburne Wheelers, American Legion Post-189, Howard Johnsons of Norwich, all the Military M.C.s that came out, Gilligan’s for having us, Larry for bringing the Marine Bike Up to the event, Lex, Norwich Chief of Police and the Fire Dept. and Police Dept. from Norwich and Sherburne for all of their help. It was an amazing turnout thanks to the terrific people from this tight community who realize the sacrifices made by the men and women in uniform. They understand and appreciate what it means for us all to be free and realize freedom isn’t free. Thank you very much from Fast Lane Biker NY. July 16th we roll into Lumpy’s with Tattoo Tony, Modern Superstar, The Marine Tribute Bike, B&M Performance, Lamination Preservation, Ben Rabin Law Firm and a burnout pit, great BBQ and much more. Mark it on your calendar and come on down and get a new Fast Lane Biker shirt or Marine Bike Plaque or a special Fast Lane Biker Plaque series by Lamination Preservation. We welcome Tom Mele and the Brett J. Harrison Law Offices P.C., Nationwide Insurance in Brooklyn, and Ronnie’s Motorsports. Have a safe and awesome summer! Be careful and remember, most cars don’t watch out for motorcycles, so you must watch out for the both of you. Fast Lane Biker NY is its own special magazine, being the ONLY NY statewide magazine, in addition to an online magazine as well and we do motorcycle shows with the biggest names in the industry. Our advertisers and readers know that we are the Only True Biker magazine appealing to every type of biker out there. Because of that we give our advertisers triple the exposure. It comes down to, where do you want to be seen? A little part of L.I. or a little part of NY State or do you want the WHOLE state plus north NJ and Western Conn, plus a FREE online magazine? Enough said!! Make sure you spread the word by telling your local dealers and businesses to support your favorite magazine, as our supporters bring you the magazine each month.

“Promises adrift in the wind

Are forgotten quite easily”

The old man said

He told me, “Watch out for

People who make empty promises

And those who say things

That make no sense.”

The old man had alot of wisdom to share

Too bad that cager downed him

Before he got a chance to impart

Some more of that wisdom to me

TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE A guy is at the Pearly Gates, hoping to be admit-ted, and St. Peter says to the guy, “I can’t see that you did anything really good in your life, but you never did anything bad either. I tell you what, if you can tell me one really good deed that you did, you’re in.” So the guy says, “Once I was driving down the road and saw a gang of bikers assaulting this poor girl. So I pulled over, got out my car, grabbed a tire iron and walked straight up to the gang’s leader--a huge ugly guy with a studded leather jacket, bald head but with hair all over his body, and a chain running from his nose to his ear. Undaunted, I ripped the chain out of his nose and ear and smashed him over the head with the tire iron. Then I turned around and, wielding my tire iron, yelled to the rest of them, ‘You leave this poor, innocent lady alone! You’re all a bunch of sick, deranged animals! Go home before I teach you all a lesson in pain!’” Impressed, St. Peter says, “Really? I can’t seem to find this in your file. When did this happen?” “Oh, about two minutes ago.”

THE HEART SURGEON ANDTHE MOTORCYCLE MECHANIC

A mechanic was removing a cylinder head from the motor of a motorcycle when he spotted a well known heart surgeon in his shop. The surgeon was there waiting for the service manager to come take a look at his bike. The mechanic shouted across the garage, “Hey Doc, can I ask you a question?” The surgeon, a bit surprised, walked over to the mechanic working on the motorcycle. The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked, “So, Doc, look at this engine. I open its heart, take valves out, fix ‘em, put ‘em back in and when I finish, it works just like new. So how come I get such a small salary and you get the really big bucks, when you and I are doing basically the same work?” The surgeon paused, smiled and leaned over and whispered to the mechanic ... “Try doing it with the engine running!”

FAST LANE BIKER & LAMINATION PRESERVATION PRESENTS‘BIKE NIGHT’ AT THE ROAD HOUSE GRILLE

The May 26th Bike night went off without a hitch even though there were tornado warnings and watches. Yes, the skies looked grim but for a short while, and one rider rode through hail to be here. More bikes pulled in and this went to show that “We ain’t afraid of no twisters!”

The show went on with plenty of good food from J. Grant Smoke House, and the $12.95 steak dinner special complete with veges and a huge salad filled this guys paunch! Satan Cycles and DeVille Cycles were the guest builders this month and they attended with their families. Both bike builders hit it up, and Brian of Satan Cycles will now be handling parts from DeVille cycles. You want to customize your ride? Just give Brian a call and he will set you up! Believe me, I know first hand that Brian and his crew know their stuff.

Come on down to the next Bike night on June 30th where we will have “TATTOO TONY” and a tattoo show and contest being judged by a very special lady, Leah Jung, Tattoo Tony and Fast Lane Tattoo! Remember- Keep the rubber on the road and the bars in the air...RIDE ON!

KOZAK KUSTOMS R6/BANSHEEThe R6/Banshee was a cool but very challenging project. It started with my buddy’s crashed Yamaha R6. The 120 hp 4 cylinder engine was still good so he came up with the idea of putting that engine in his Yamaha Banshee. I thought that was a great idea and would be a really cool proj-ect.

I started by taking the motor out of the R6 to see how I was going to fit that motor in the Banshee frame. One thing my buddy wanted was to be able to use the original Banshee plastic covers. He wanted it to look com-pletely stock when done. So I knew if a cut the frame it couldn’t move so I made a jig. The jig held the frame together after I cut it and also held the motor in place while I was making all new motor mounts. After the motor was in place, I began to build the frame around the motor making sure the motor would be able to come out when I was done. Once this was done I had to find a new place for a gas tank. I had no choice but to make my own gas tank and mount it under the seat. Then came the ex-haust. Once again had no other option but to make my own set of custom 4 into 1 headers.

After the exhaust was completed I moved onto the wiring. I basically used as much of the electrical components as I could in-cluding the original wiring harness from the R6. When that was done I had modify all the coolant hoses to match the cool-ing system of the R6 to the radiator of the Banshee.

It was then time to add the fluids and see if it would start. After triple checking ev-erything I gave it a shot and it started right up. It was now time to take it all apart and make it look nice. I sent the frame and a bunch of parts to get powder coated. When everything came back I put it together for the final time and took it for a spin.

You can see the R6/Banshee video on my website www.kozakkustoms.com.

Along with Fast Lane Biker NY . Big Thanks to Johnny Q. . Sherburne, NY . June 8th, 2011GILLIGAN’S BIKE NIGHT

SHERBURNE – Between 300 and 400 motorcyclists – a number of them veterans of war – gathered in and around Gilligan’s Island on North Main Street Wednesday night to honor Corporal Joseph S. Tremblay and the thousands of other soldiers who have given their lives while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. On display at the event, held on the same day as Sher-burne’s weekly Bike Night, was a custom-made, Marine Tribute Bike, built by Cross Roads Custom Rides. Tremblay’s father, Lau-rence, said the intricately detailed motorcycle was “built for one, dedicated to a few and honors all who have fought for our coun-try.” The American Legion Riders of Post 189 were joined by cycling magazine Fast Lane Biker and the Southern Tier-based ‘Nam Knights for the ride, which took-off from Howard Johnson in Norwich at around 3:30 p.m. A 12 foot by 18 foot American flag – donated by the Sherburne Wheelers

– waved proudly in the summer heat above the bikers, suspended from a Norwich Fire Department fire ladder as they made their way north out of the city. “You have to appreciate these kids; they’re the ones over there fighting for our country,” said Trem-blay. “This was a labor of love and there are a lot of great people that helped out.” Ride Captain Lex Danyluk said he had no way of putting his feelings and those of his fellow veterans

and bikers into words, but did state how important it is for all Americans to re-member the freedom isn’t free. ‘Nam Knights President Brian Weidman added that “we’re all just here to support them, veterans helping veterans, that’s what we’re here for.” The event featured a 21-gun salute and 50/50 raffle, the proceeds of which went to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

A VALID COMPLAINT,

The owner of this bike came to North Jersey

Customs with an almost completely stock 2006

Harley Softail Springer and a vision of what he

wanted. We started by getting rid of the front fender

and replaced the rear fender with an integrated

strut type. Then we swaped out the bars

for some 16” apes, replaced all of the

cables and hoses and changed the

mirrors. Matt decided that it just wasn’t

quite what he was after yet, so we mounted

up some new Metzler tires on some brand new

Radially laced “Fat Daddy” spoke rims. Now

all it needed was a kick ass paint job,

off to Toontown Paint it went. Bob and

Jonathan went to work on the black with

paint scheme, soon it all came together.

When everything was reassembled,

we knew this was a home run, this bike

turned out just right!

Last month I promised you the story of a man who took the phrase “tramp stamp” too seriously. First of all, what exactly began the correlation between lower back tattoos and promiscuity? One friend suggested a theory that the lower back is the area a man will focus on when he is having sex in a particularly popular position. This position, rhyming with foggy smile, is associated with less intimacy, since there is no eye-to-eye contact. So, lots of men in the 90s gossiping with their buddies about one night stands must have somehow got to talking about tramps with stamps. They were clever, rhym-ing, herpes-spreading men. I do not have a lower back tattoo. I have many others, which I will be showing off at various events around New York, but no ink on my lower posterior yet. Go back a few years to 2007, and the only major visible tattoo I did have was my chest piece. That year, I took a trip with my mother to Philadelphia and one night we stopped into a huge, crowded sports bar for a drink. To picture the scene properly, con-sider that we were both dressed nicely and had our hair and makeup proper, BUT we were NOT trying to capture attention from anyone at the bar. No cleavage, no short skirt. We were simply having a “better luck next time” toast after an unsuc-cessful American Idol audition. (Slightly embarrassed.) Since we are lovely ladies, we weren’t surprised when two other patrons (red t-shirt guy and backwards hat guy) offered to buy us a drink. Backwards hat guy began chat-ting in my ear over the noise, so I was unfortunately unable to hear what red t-shirt guy was saying to my wonderful mother. Apparently when I had said “I’m her daughter” two minutes earlier, he thought that was tattooed-person slang for “she’s my pimp!” After he drunkenly explained to her that he thought my “stamps” meant I was a “tramp,” my mother was bewil-dered and defended me. Meanwhile, I’m still oblivious to what has transpired, and red t-shirt guy comes closer to ask me if he can “taste the drink I ordered.” Then, he snatches the drink he bought me and starts to chug it! Basically, as soon as this jerk realized I couldn’t be traded for cash and booze, he tried to get his investment back. Oh, I’m sorry, I did not realize a tattoo of a skull was a prostitution billboard. Get with the times, red t-shirt. My mom and I are classier broads than the ignorant prune who raised you to think that way. Now give me back my drink. Check out my photos on www.leahjung.com and tell me what you think of my beautiful chest tattoo!

An internal combustion engine requires four conditions to operate. Air, fuel, ignition source and compression. Additionally, these must oc-cur in a correct timed relationship to each other. If these conditions are met, the engine will run. To produce optimum power across the entire RPM band requires a bit more effort. The optimization of these parameters is called the tuning process. For our discussion, we’ll assume an already functioning engine with no major prob-lems. As we have a functional engine, we can pretty much eliminate compression as a tuning factor. Compression problems can include the ware or failure of the cylinder wall or piston rings, valve seals or guides, head gaskets or heads themselves. A quick compression and leak-down test can assure us that these items are operating within specifications. There are several timing mechanisms within the en-gine. These are the crankshaft (via the pinion gear) relative to the camshaft and breather gear and the ignition breaker relative to the crankshaft. In general, and unless the camshaft has been replaced, it should be in correct time relative to the crankshaft and breather. There are marks on each of the three gears that must align as per the manual to establish this relationship. A further, more involved process called degree-ing can be performed (and should be when a new cam is installed) to optimize camshaft timing. We will discuss this in a future article. For our purposes now, the ignition timing is the primary adjustment are concerned with. Timing the ignition allows for the spark to occur at an op-timal time relative to both piston and valve position. It is designated as x degrees before top dead center (TDC) on the power stroke, and is usually measured on the front cylinder. The factory specified range is between 5 (full retard) and 35 degrees (full advance). There are marks on the left crank wheel visible through the timing inspection hole located at the top of the crankcase drive side, just between the bot-tom of the two jugs. A handy item to have is a clear, threaded plug to insert into this hole to prevent oil from spurting out while making the adjustment with the engine running. This is done using an inductive type, strobe timing light. The light is connected to both ground and battery positive terminals and the inductive clamp placed around the front cylinder spark plug wire. A helpful trick is to rotate the engine (by the rear wheel in 4th gear or by carefully using the starter motor with the ignition disabled) so the timing marks are visible in this window. The factory marks indicate front cylinder TDC, front cylinder full advance setting and rear cylinder full advance setting. Wipe all oil off of the crank wheel surface and highlight the timing marks with white paint using a small, fine brush. This makes the marks much easier to see when performing the adjustment. The ignition timing is adjusted by moving the breaker plate located under the cam cone cover. Slightly loosen the two hold down screws and the plate will be able to rotate. Note the position of the lines on the plate. With the engine running and up to temperature, set the idle speed to about 1300-1500 RPM and note the position of the front cylinder timing advance mark. It should be centered in the inspection hole. If not, slightly move the breaker plate one way to see if the mark comes into position or moves further away. Based on this result, make the appropriate adjust-ment of the plate, then tighten it down. This procedure will get the ignition timing set to factory spec and will be our starting point for fine tuning later on. Mark the breaker plate to show the new setting or take note of it for reference. Now that the ignition timing is close, we need to deal with the carburetor. The job of the carburetor is to provide an optimum mixture of air and fuel, and to sup-

ply it at all of the possible throttle positions. Depending on the specific unit, the number and type of adjust-ments will vary. In general, we can break them down into: float adjustment, choke adjustment, accelerator pump adjustment, idle setting and mixture settings. Most adjustments will have an effect on others, so an iterative process is required. We’ll discuss some spe-cific carburetors and their adjustments in detail some

other time. The overall most important adjustment is the mixture or air to fuel. The mixture ratio is expressed as x parts of air to ONE part of fuel. A mixture of 10:1 would therefore be richer (less air, more fuel) and a mixture of 14:1 would be leaner (more air, less fuel). Contrary to conventional wisdom, lean is mean or some of the other catch phrases aren’t necessarily the case. In addition to the optimum burn ratios, a slightly richer mixture will help to keep the engine running cool. Conversely, too rich a mixture can cause poor mileage and also wet down the cyl-inder walls, preventing the oil from providing proper ring lubri-cation. Engine damage can result in mixtures that are set too far either way, so setting and maintaining this ratio becomes one of the most important aspects of the tuning process. Sub-sequently, we’ll devote some time discussing this matter in detail. The mixture ratio can be measured by several methods. Analyzing the quantity of combustion by-products in the ex-haust gases, such as CO (carbon monoxide) can give us a correlation to the mixture ratio. Hydro-carbons (essentially un-burnt fuel) readings taken from the exhaust gases can provide

another method of calculating the ratio. Lambda type sensors can be installed in the exhaust system (provided they can reach a temperature of 600 degrees or contain a pre-heat element), giving a very precise oxygen reading to derive the mixture ratio from. They are also available as standalone units. This is the type of unit that we use in conjunction with our Dynamometer. The chemically optimum mixture for the most complete com-bustion of fuel is 13.7:1 and is known as the Stoichiometric ratio. Due to the fact that no perfect mixing or vaporization is possible in typical engine situations, a richer mixture is actually required to achieve maximum power. Typical mixtures to develop maximum

power range from 11.5:1 to 13.5:1, with theoretical optimum figures being 12.5:1 at peak torque and 12.8:1 at peak horse-power. To further complicate the situation, at differing points of en-gine operation, different mixture ratios are required. For ex-ample, due to the lower port velocities at idle, a richer mixture of about 12.25:1 is necessary. During a steady state throttle condition (constant load at a given RPM), the mixture require-ment leans out to about 13.4:1.

Transient requirements are different again. Hard acceleration when the throttle is opened rapidly causes an increase in manifold pressure, which demands additional fuel to prevent backfiring, misfires or a stall. The ratio required during this condition can be as rich as 12.7:1 at full operating temperature or richer yet on a cold engine. A good tuning objective is to shoot for a mixture range between 12.5:1 to 13.2:1 over the ENTIRE RPM bandwidth. This will result in a basically flat fuel curve, with maximum power available at all points. This can be a very difficult goal to achieve, as the limitations of many carburetor designs don’t allow for sufficient adjustment latitude over such a broad range. Depending on the specific carburetor, there may be modifications available that provide more adjustable metering circuits and greater tuning options. Next month, we’ll discuss some specific carburetor designs, their adjust-ments and possible modifications to further our performance tuning goals. Till next month...

perform. It’s so great to see the fans that come out just to see us. That is really cool. o Do you have any upcoming shows? We have an amazing one hour+ show planned on June 23rd for Fast Lane Biker Magazine! We are excited to be performing for their monthly Bike Night at The Tack Room Bar in Beth-page. Everyone there has been so great to us.o We also have the Zebra Club on June 25th, the Tanger Outlet in Deer Park on August 6th and are booking more as they come. o 9 Which songs do you perform most frequently? We love to perform our originals whenever we get the chance, but most of our shows include both covers and originals. We started as a cover band and have some really great classic and epic songs that we perform. The crowd always

seems to love our block of Rush songs and when we do our version of Moby Dick. They love that one on facebook too. o Do you have a set play list? We have a nice amount of songs to pick from to perform for a show. The three of us like to create a different play list for every show we do. When we put our set list together, we take into consider-ation the place we will be performing and the crowd that will be at that show. This helps us decide what songs to include.o Do you all write songs? Yes, we are all writers in the band. We work great together in bringing our original songs to life.o What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs? Our original songs theme’s and topics are all so different from one another. The songs seem to come from what may be going on in our lives, or something totally out of left field that comes into mind. We have a song called Stick Figure Family, which is, yes, about those stick figure families you see on the cars. We also have some rockin’ tunes called Check, Maintain Equi-librium, Evil Plan and Morning. o Do you think these topics will change over time? As our lives change, these topics will probably change. We are all still getting older and have lots of expe-riences to go through. All those new experiences will defi-nitely help us write more original music.o 11 Could you briefly describe the music-making process? When one of us writes a song or part of a song, sometimes we will play a piece of it at the studio and see what we think. Most of the time, it is first recorded as a simple acoustic track so that we get a feel of the song. The three of us then add our touches to the song with our ideas of possible fills, solos and anything we may feel the song could use. It is like a puzzle and the three of us add the final musical pieces to that puzzle. It’s a group effort.o 12 What are your rehearsals generally like? We love getting together for our rehearsals. It is not work to us since we really love playing together. We try to be very productive when we are there, but love to have fun too.o Do you have a set time each week in which you practice or are rehearsals more spontaneous? We try to rehearse every Saturday when we can so that we could work on original music and also add fresh new covers to our set lists.o 13 How has your music evolved since you first be-gan playing music together? We have all discovered how musically connected we are. As a band that has only been together for 9 months, we are even tighter and more fo-cused. We want to get our original music out there for ev-eryone to hear. We really feel that this Shudder was meant to be!

o 14 What has been your biggest challenges as a band? One thing would be our age. Many people do not assume we could play the way we do at such a young age. The other challenge was having three members instead of four. o Have you been able to overcome that challenge?Yes. If so, how? With each performance we do, the audience become believers of Shudder :) It is great to see the reactions once we get on stage and start to rock and roll! As far as being a three piece band, we have solved that by having Lennon and Reese figure out the best way to put a song with keyboards together. What has helped a great deal with this is the fact that Reese recently

got key pedals which now al-lows him to play some of key-board sounds with his feet. How cool is that! o 15 What’s your ultimate direction for your band? To become one of the youngest original rock band out there! We think there is a need for a band like ours. o Are you seeking fame and fortune? We are kids, so it would be really fun to be famous and have lots of fans who appreciate what we do. There is nothing better than when fans come over to us

just to tell us how much they love our band. Fortune would be the awesome icing on the cake!o 16 What advice do you have for young people who want to form their own bands? Do it! Enjoy the process of putting it all together. Listen to each others ideas and be each other’s biggest fan and motivator. If you love to make music, with work and dedication, anything is possible!o 17 How can fans-to-be gain access to your music? They could go to Error! Hyperlink reference not valid. . o Do you have a website with sample songs or a demo CD? You could also go to our website/facebook page at Error! Hyperlink reference not valid.o 18 Is there anyone you’d like to acknowledge for offering financial or emotional support? Our parents, fam-ily, friends and fans. Our parents for supporting us by be-ing our biggest fans and for doing everything they could to provide the band with what we need to move forward. They rock!! We would also like to acknowlege our family, friends and fans because they spend their money for tickets to come see us perform. That means so much to us.o 19 Any last words to tell your fans? We have had many amazing fans from facebook and you-tube spread the word about Shudder, by sharing the links and videos to our site, and telling their friends about us. If you have a dream, it can come true! Believe, believe, believe! We do and we know that our fans will be the rea-son why we will make it! Thank you so much for all the support!

We think there is a need for a

famous and have lots of fans who appreciate what we do.

Written by Annemarie Albate . Title and Edit by TAMISLAID IMPRESSIONHarlista. A term used to affectionately describe Latin Harley-Davidson riders, and now also a film called, Harlistas - An American Journey. It’s been described as a first-of-its-kind documentary that follows the emotional journey of Latino Harley motorcycle riders in the U.S. And what an emotional journey it is.

It was Harlista Day at NewRoc Harley-Davidson, one of the hot-spots the movie premiered. It was there that I had the pleasure of meeting four Harlistas, Vito,

Ernie, Pat, and Jay Rodriquez, the “Rod” broth-ers, who were featured in the film. All were immediately special in their own way but let it be known that Pat was my favorite. At first I was distracted by the jobs I was there to do, such as play-ing partial host, dishing out some great ethnic food and taking pictures for the NewRoc Harley-Davidson website. It never occurred to me that I would learn something – something much more than the movie conveyed. Go figure.

Harlistas - An American Journey tells four heartwarming stories but the one that most res-onated with me was the hometown story of the Rod Brothers and their family’s bond and strength. As they tell it, the family emigrated from Ecuador in 1968 but not before their father Ernesto sold his motorcycle to raise the money to relocate himself, his wife and five children (the four boys and their sister Monica Rodriguez-Smith) first to

Brooklyn N.Y. then to Queens. It was there, his son Ernie described, that his father gave them “a good life”.

The Rod brothers, as a fitting tribute to their father, and to remember their only sister, Monica Rodriguez-Smith who was 7 months pregnant when she was tragically killed in the first World Trade Center attack, rode to Sturgis, South Dakota to strengthen their brotherly bond. Though little is seen of what tran-spires there having met them I was captivated as I watched how lucky the Rodriguez family was to have

each other and for them to know it.

As the film tells us, it was a cold, snowy day, and Monica Rodriguez-Smith a women in her mid-thirties, was working for the Port Au-thority in the underground level of the North Tower.

Her family describes her as a vivacious, out-going person who was full of energy. During her daily phone call to her brothers, Monica relayed her concern about the snow and icy walkways, and not wanting to jeopardize the

safety of her unborn child, Ernesto and Nelly’s first grandchild, she remained inside for lunch. As we now know, on the other side of the concrete wall where Monica Rodriguez-Smith was eating lunch with some co-workers, a Ryder truck with a homemade fertilizer bomb was parked in the garage. At 12:18pm a bomb detonated killing her and her much anticipated baby along with five others- all comparably young in their own right.

We’ve all heard “Never Forget” about the 9-11 terrorist attack. But how many of us remember the date of the first terror attack at the World Trade Center? I didn’t. I’d like to use the excuse I was only in 8th grade or so at the time, but what that comes down to is a poor excuse. “The date” I’m referring to, the one most of us don’t know is in fact part of New York state’s history and our Nation’s history. What does it mean that we don’t remember it? The month? The year?

It’s February 26th, 1993.

It was just after meeting Vito and watching Harlistas together that I learned that it was his sister that was killed and how tragically she died. Standing there stunned and em-barrassed at learning of such an awful tragedy expe-rienced by someone I had just met, the only thing I could do was offer my condolences. Vito went on to tell me that the granite memorial fountain erected at the World Trade Center directly above the site of the truck bomb explosion was not going to be replaced as believed by Vito, the rest of his family and the families of the five others killed. Instead, the victims

of the first terror attack will be included in the latest design of the 9-11 memorial; that is the two massive pools set within the footprints of the Twin Towers. As of now their memorial is simply and almost inconceivably known as “Group Three” on the north pool. Gone is the fountain. Gone is the inscription, “On February 26, 1993, a bomb set by terrorists exploded be-low this site. This horrible act of violence killed innocent people, injured thousands, and made victims of us all.”

Since when is the 1993 World Trade Center bombing part of 9-11?

I am in agreement with Vito and the others that a single memorial foun-tain be placed back where it belongs. It was a separate incident, a sepa-rate tragedy, an independent, foreshadowing mark in history and should

be treated as such. It’s al-most as if it’s being said the first attack, the first try to bring the towers down, the first victims killed, the first injured, the first panic, the first hint of what was to come, no longer matters? Do I dare ask if there is room on the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C.? Would anyone ever suggest adding the names of those lost in the Gulf war? Of course not. And this is just as absurd. Those who died for this country be it by the career path or as an unwitting martyr, military vs. innocent civilian -shouldn’t they be remembered for their sacrifice properly and respectfully?

“...made victims of us all”? How soon we forget.
