FATHERS DAY CELEBRATION AT ALMIS – BOYS WING

To celebrate the Birth Anniversary of Imam Ali (a.s), the Students of Al Muntazir Islamic

Seminary – Boys Wing -- celebrated Father’s Day on Friday, 6th March 2020. This year the

Boys celebrated Father’s Day with a lots of fun and excitement to convey their affection and

care for their Father’s. The event started off with National Anthem and School Prayer,

recitation of Holy Quran by Abdallah Baalwi and Amin Osman followed by a welcome

speech by the School Principal, Mr. Reuben.

To enlighten the programme this time we had 2 Guest Speaker from the Boys wing as our

Guest of Honour for the day, we had a Priest from the St. Catholic Church Father Mario

and a Scholar Mohamed Kamran – who has studied in Qum – Iran. Father Mario in his

speech shared an inspiration story of a Father & Son and the unconditional love and bond

between them. Sheikh Mohamed Kamran also highlighted the verse from the Holy Quran,

he too shared a points on Father & Son and the rights of a Father. He quoted Islam

teaches you to respect to your Child treat them well, and you will see the respect they give

you.

The Islamic Council Students presented a very emotional and eye opener drama about a

young boy who grew up with a single Father, after his mother’s death and how his Father

struggled to brought him up. The Father would work hard day and night to fulfil his sons

need and the son not thinking how much would the father do, till he realized and asked for

forgiveness.

To make the day more special the boys had a special programme for both the Father and

Sons bonding session, who knows their Son better? It was a superb activity enjoyed by all.

There are very experience as universal and yet unique as being a Parent in today’s world,

its difficult not to think about how we measure up to other Parents whether they be our own,

our friends and colleagues, or even the seemingly “Perfect”.

To bless the event at the end of the programme token of Appreciation was given to Sheikh

Yakub on the Auspious occasion of Father’s day.

The Quality of a Father can be seen in the Goals, Dreams and Aspirations he sets not only for himself, but for his Family. Reed Markham
