The Crowds: Faulkner County Libraries 2016 Annual Report Our Mission: A Vibrant Collection: Visit us at FCL.ORG More than books We provided 51,000 people with computer access. We helped students, job searchers, researchers, tax payers, children, adults, gamers, scholars and more. 48,000 people attended concerts, afterschool programs, storytimes, magic shows, dance classes, author events, homework help, movies, gardening clubs, Yoga classes, haunted houses, writers groups, service fairs, Renaissance fairs, bridge clubs, Jedi Academies, Harry Potter parties, Seed swaps, Yarnaholics meetings, Sign language classes, and Arkansas' greatest Comics Convention. Our mission is to open access to ideas and communities through shared collections, shared spaces and shared activities. We loaned 430,000 items. E-book loans increased 19% & Audiovisual loans grew 16% over last year. 394,000 visits, an increase of 13% over 2015. 989 meetings hosted. 10,000 new card-holders.

Lifelong

Learners: Building on a successful pilot program at Simon Middle School, we expanded our Lifelong Libraries program, bridging the gap to 9 schools, and bringing our collection to 2,300 students.
