business in a nondiscriminatory manner with all parts of its operation and provide an analysis of the results of those efforts. Time Warner Cable has a strong commitment to working with minority and female entrepreneurs. Our minority vendor purchasing philosophy commits us to long term relationships with minority and female run businesses. Time Warner Cable’s minority purchasing policy has been established as a coordinated corporate plan to assist in the economic development of minority-owned businesses. For the purpose of the program, a minority-owned business enterprise is defined as a business that is at least 51% minority-owned. The objective of the program is to provide the opportunity for minority-owned business enterprises to establish a mutually profitable business relationship with Time Warner Cable. The minority vendor program actively seeks minority bids for goods and services, provides assistance for the minority vendor in such areas as specifications, clarification, requirements, standards, and payment terms and conditions, and works with minority vendors to education them about our quality and service requirements. All vendors are asked to identify their ownership as minority and/or female or otherwise in order for us to track and monitor our expenditures. A directory of local vendors is distributed to all personnel involved with using vendors in order for these employees to easily identify and obtain bids from minority and/or female run businesses. A company-wide website (http://www.twcablesupplierdiversity.com) has been established to provide minority and female entrepreneurial information. Supplier Diversity reports are

created each quarter and reviewed with management to evaluate the effectiveness of our minority and female vendor relationships.

7. Describe the responsibility of each level of the employment unit’s management with

respect to application and enforcement of it EEO policy and explain the procedure for review and control of managerial and supervisory performance.

Employees at all levels are responsible for the implementation and continuing review of TWC’s EEO policy. Ultimate responsibility for implementation and review of TWC’s EEO policy lies with the Corporate Employee Relations and Regulatory Compliance department. The corporate office provides overall policies, conducts statistical reviews of the workforce, finalizes and submits required government EEO reports, and provides staff assistance and training.

This unit’s human resources leader is charged with communicating the EEO policy to all units and developing procedures for implementation of this policy at the local level. The Corporate Employee Relations and Regulatory Compliance department is responsible for auditing employment practices at each unit. Results of the audit are reviewed with local and regional HR and Operations leaders. The unit is given 90 days to correct any issues noted during the audit.

1. Participation in scholarship programs designed to assist students interested in pursuinga career in multichannel video programming communications.

On October 6, 2011 TWC co-sponsored the Thurgood Marshall College Fund – 8th Annual Awards ofExcellence in Charlotte, NC. Director, Corporate Talent Acquisition & Movement, attended the event asan active Committee member and representive of TWC, and was available to answer student’s questionsabout career opportunities with TWC and the Telecommunications industry. The Thurgood MarshallCollege Fund (TMCF) mission is 3 fold – to partner with member schools to increase access, retentionand graduation rates of students attending their schools, to identify and prepare member schools’students who have significant leadership potential, and to create a pipeline of highly qualified memberschools’ students and alumni. TMCF represents the nation’s 47 public Historically Black Colleges andUniversities (“HBCU”)’s, law schools and medical schools and nearly 300,000 students matriculating ontheir campuses. With TMCF member schools educating approximately 80% of all students attendingHBCUs, the organization’s work is critical to guaranteeing a robust and diverse pipeline of talentedworkers and future leaders. 85% of all students attending public HBCU’s require some form of financialassistance. In partnering with TMCF, TWC showed its support and recognition of the importance ofinvesting in the future of diversity talent to the Telecommunications industry and workforce in general.

2. Sponsorship of at least one event in the community designed to inform and educate thepublic as to employment opportunities in multichannel video programmingcommunications.

On February 7, 2012 TWC’s Charlotte Corporate Diversity Council, in conjunction with the Black BusinessEmployee Network (BBEN) hosted a Leadership Forum and Diversity Partner Fair. Hosted onsite at TWCCharlotte’s Corporate campus (10619), the event was attended by more than 200 businessprofessionals, students and TWC employees. The event gave attendees the opportunity to network withand to learn more about diversity partner organizations in the area. Diversity partner organizations withrepresentation at the event included: National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), Association ofLatino Professionals (ALPFA), Ascend-Pan Asian Professionals, National Black MBA Association (NMBAA),Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA), Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), NationalSales Natwork (NSN), Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) and National Association of Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC). Also, attendees had the opportunity to attend breakout sessionshosted by various TWC Executive leaders from Sales, Technology, Engineering and Finance andAccounting to learn more about career opportunities TWC offers in these areas. The EVP, HumanResources; VP Talent Acquisition & Movement; Director, Corporate Talent Acquisition & Movement;Director, Diversity Recruitment Strategy, the entire Corporate Talent Acquisition & Movement

Recruiting team (from all corporate locations) and Managers and Senior Business Partners from HumanResources also attended this event and were accessible throughout the evening to answer questionsabout TWC and about career opportunities within the Company. TWC hosted the event to promote andto drive awareness of the value of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
