In 2016/2017 a study was conducted to determine what improvements were needed to create a multi-modal corridor. This includes improvements for bicyclist, pedestrians, transit, and vehicles.

Resurface the road to change the paved shoulders from 4 feet to 6 feet to provide 6-foot-wide buffered bike lanes
