Mr. Billy Robbins In December of 1980, while working on an aerial cable, Billy was injured in an accident that was 100% preventable. Contact was made with a 7200-volt power line! Mr. Dae Chung is the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary at the Department of Energy. He has over twenty six years of combined experience in the U.S. government and commercial nuclear industries manag-ing, leading, and performing various nuclear design, engineering, analysis, and safety policy development and oversight activities for a wide variety of programs, facilities, and operations.

Patricia R. Worthington, Ph.D. is the Director of Office of Health and Safety at the United States Department of Energy. She has over 35 years of Federal service experience, the majority of which has been devoted to promoting and advocating the safety and health of the DOE Federal and contractor workers, members of the public living in the vicinity of DOE sites, and advancing the Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS).

Frank Russo has over 30 years of Federal experience, primarily serving the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Mr. Russo is currently the Senior Advisor for Environment, Safety and Health for the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and advises the NNSA Administrator on policy and technical issues relating to radiological controls, worker safety and health, nuclear safety, and quality assurance.

Col. Arthur J. Athens, USMC (Ret.), Director, Stockdale Center for Ethical Leadership. He is the Director of the U.S. Naval Academy’s Vice Admiral James B. Stockdale Center for Ethical Leadership. He has a diverse background spanning the military, higher education, and the non-profit sector.

Jack R. Craig, Jr. was appointed Acting Manager of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Savannah River Operations Office (SR) at the Savannah River Site (SRS) in March 2010 to assist with reorganizations and transitions affecting DOE-Headquarters and its field offices.

James O. Ellis, Jr. was elected President and Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO), located in Atlanta, Georgia, on May 18, 2005.

Dr. Peter Winokur has been appointed a Member of the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board. Dr. Winokur has more than 40 years of experience as a scientist and engineer in the field of radiation effects science, technology, and hardness assurance in support of military and space systems.

Make plans now to attend the 2010 Integrated Safety Management Workshop, September 13-16, at the Augusta Marriott Hotel & Suites, One 10th Street, Augusta, Georgia. The workshop is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Savannah River Office and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Savannah River Site (SRS) Office and is supported by the SRS Prime Contractors, including: Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, Savannah River Remediation, Shaw/Areva MOX Services, LLC., Parsons, WSI-SRS Team, USDA Forest Service, and the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory. Registration will open April 1 through August 5. The workshop theme, Pathways to New Missions, graphically depicts various areas of our business successfully carving new territory in an unfamiliar landscape, using the Integrated Safety Management System as the framework. Last year’s conference had nearly 1,000 attendees, including Environmental, Safety, Health, and Quality (ESH&Q) professionals from DOE sites across the United States, all looking for the latest in ESH&Q products, technologies, and services. As a vendor/exhibitor, your audience will reach beyond the attendees, to their management and sites across the U.S., as they take back the news of your products to their workplaces. Whether you sell safety and health supplies, professional/technical services, or advanced technologies, your market exposure will be exponentially enhanced over a local or regional ESH&Q workshop. The potential to expand your customer base and reach new markets in a single venue is unmatched for the cost of exhibitor space!
