Though the seniors triumphed, it was a close contest with a final score of 28-31. This year we celebrated Catholic Schools Week by embracing all sorts of tradions from the elementary, middle and high schools. Everyone got to parcipate in our themed dress-down days, we organized a food drive for the Plasburgh Interfaith Food Shelf, the elementary students put on a spectacular talent show, the middle and high school students held a trivia compeon and, to end the week, teachers and staff took on the Class of 2019 in our annual Faculty vs. Seniors Basketball Game.

Fourth Grader to Compete in Empire State Games

If you head out to Lake Placid this weekend to watch the Empire State Games, don’t forget to check out the luge competition. Seton Catholic’s own Gabriel Dolan, a fourth grader, will be partic-ipating in the Saturday morning luge race at 9 a.m. For Gabe, luge is a family affair — his father, Larry Dolan (pictured with Gabe), went to the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan, for luge and is now the Junior National Assistant Coach for Team USA. The Seton Catholic International Program is ac-tively recruiting respite and full-time host parents interested in opening their homes to our interna-tional students. We welcome families of all shapes, sizes and faiths to apply, from single per-sons to homes with young children or teenagers. Hosting comes with a generous monthly stipend to help with expenses, a handbook for guidance and 24/7 support from the international depart-ment. Winter Sports Schedule

The Seton Family Association’s Valentine Craft Night for grades K-5* will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8. in the Seton Catholic Cafete-ria. The cost is $10 per child and includes craft supplies, pizza and a drink.
