    Refreshers CarnivalExams are over, the winter blues are comingto an end its a perfect time to re-live being afresher and we have just the thing; RefreshersCarnival!

    Its taking place all day on (Monday 6th andTuesday 7th February) in the Venue at theStudents Union. There will be over 100 stallsincluding many clubs and societies; with anexpected footfall of over 4,000 students!We are offering a big cash prize for those activeclubs & societies who can generate as manymembers as possible between 6th and 17thFebruary. For those students attending, join inthe carnival with freebie company stalls, livemusic, food and plenty of fun.

    NCL+ Awards

    Have you excelled in some extracurricularactivity? Know someone who has gone aboveand beyond helping the community in theirspare time? Make sure you enter the ncl+

    The Ruperts Wood Project

    Volunteers are needed to join the group to helpout with various conservation tasks at the wood,preparing the wood for the day and residential

    trips throughout the year, and to help outwith the childrens camps (if you want to!)with outdoor sports (rock climbing, canoeing,archery etc.) on each summer camp.

    The work is exible around your timetableand commitment is as much or as little asyou can manage. If you can drive this wouldbe particularly useful SCAN have their ownvehicle to use.

    Super Bowl

    Our American Football team (The Raiders) are hosting a Super Bowl Party this Sunday night (5thFeb)10.30pm-4am at the West Coast Grill and Bar near Haymarket Metro station - the NFL gameand highlight of the year will be broadcast live all night. Tickets are available on the door for 6.

    NUSSC trip

    Newcastle University Ski and Snowboard Club extend an invitation to all students join them forthe BUSC Main Event this Easter break in March!All skiing abilities are welcome and lessons can be provided, come alone or with friends andexperience on of the top 20 mountain events of the year!! (as recently reported in National press).
