Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following four criteria to be eligible for the Fellows Program:

Neither of my parents/guardians have a bachelor’s degree (from a college in any country)I am a U.S. Citizen or Permanent ResidentI am a freshman attending a CUNY College/University or Community College(with plans to

transfer to a four-year college or university) I am available to attend regular Saturday workshops in Manhattan (workshops occur bi-

weekly in Year 1 starting in June 2014; monthly in Year 2)

"You may be eligible to apply to be a 2014 Kaplan Scholar, and receive extensive financial and academic support to complete your Associate's degree, and up to $10,000/year for your Bachelor's degree. • Earned a Minimum GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale)• Completed 24 to 30 non-remedial college credits by the end of the Spring

2014 Intercollegiate Partnership (ICP) Summer Program at Barnard College for 16 LaGuardia Community College Students

A five-week (June and July) residential program at a prestigious college in Manhattan enrollment in two credit-bearing science courses co-taught by Barnard and LaGuardia faculty (last week of June through last week of July) tutoring and other support to help you succeed in this intense academic endeavor counseling and information sessions about four-

year colleges and how to transfer to them all expenses paid (including room and board) and a $500 stipend upon completion of the program

open to all (both female and male) students

• The Skadden, Arps Honors Program in Legal Studies is a unique partnership between Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP—one of the preeminent law firms in the world—and The City College of New York.

• • What We Offer• Up to $10,000 in merit scholarships• Free LSAT preparation• Innovative pre-law curriculum• Mentoring by practicing lawyers• Individualized writing instruction• A summer internship with a $1,800 stipend at a law firm or legal services non-profit• Law school application workshops• Lectures by top legal scholars• Access to the state-of-the-art Skadden Honors Center• The Student’s Commitment• Skadden Scholars are required to make a two-year commitment to the program, which includes two summers and one

winter intercession.• Attend a four-week summer institute designed to strengthen basic and critical thinking skills and to introduce students to

the legal profession.• Complete the legal studies curriculum, designed to complement a wide range of majors, and to provide students with an

advanced understanding of the legal system and its role in US society.• Take the LSAT exam on a date specified by the program.• Participate in a six-week internship.
