Curious Cbus Gets Even More Curious
We at WOSU and 89.7 NPR News are always looking for ways to engage our audience and get answers to the questions you want answered. Our Curious Cbus project has been a great tool to do just that. Listeners submit questions online, editors pick a few and ask people to vote for their favorite. Then a WOSU reporter goes out and finds the answer.
The Curious Cbus project has satisfied listeners' inquisitiveness over how Refugee Road got its name and what happened to Columbus’ trolley cars. We investigated how Pee-Pee Township got its name and why the state rerouted the Olentangy River to make room for State Route 315.
This spring WOSU will take Curious Cbus to a new level. We want to answer more of your questions. We’ll continue to answer queries about history and oddities, but we also plan to use Curious Cbus to dig into more difficult issues like civil rights, housing prices and crime trends. It truly will be listener-driven news coverage.
Curious Cbus’ home is online, but we regularly feature the stories in 89.7 NPR News newscasts. We plan to answer Curious Cbus questions on All Sides with Ann Fisher, Columbus Neighborhoods, Broad & High and Columbus on the Record. We may even host a Curious Cbus event!
We journalists certainly don’t have all the answers and the Curious Cbus project has taught us we don’t always have all the questions. So if there is something you’ve always been curious about – ask us! Go to wosu.org/Curious.

Classical 101 can also be heard in Columbus on HD Radio 89.7-2 as well as streaming online at wosu.org and on WOSU’s mobile app.
