Greetings all you Brother Patri-ot fans … (Oh, sorry … I was the only one rooting for New England at the Lodge Par-ty). Scratch that greeting.

Hello Losers! ... AFC football party was good time had by all. Thanks Bob and Dickie for

hosting a great party ... March for Life in DC had a strong Knights representa-tion. Thanks Bill Ager and Claire Hogan for all their efforts ... On the Bus were Brothers Bill, Jason Strack, Sal Maugueri, Kevin Strezo, Mike Kostick,

Ed O'Sullivan, Jeff Bacca, Ray Micco, Joe Ambrose, Dennis Ragan and I ... Congrats to Br John Walker and the 1st Degree team — Chauncey, Mike, Joe, John, Mike M … and welcome to our two new Brothers Eric Dawson and John Perfetti.

A special Thanks to Tom Pearson and all the volunteers for the Vocations Col-lections … over $2,700 collected ... Great effort! On February 25, we ‘ll have a Pancake Breakfast at St Bernard after the 7:30 and 9:30 Masses. Get involved … we need helpers.

On Sunday, Feb. 25, our Fr. McNelis Council will

serve a pancake and sausage breakfast at St. Bernard

Church after both the 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM Masses.

We need Brother Knights to volunteer as cooks, serv-

ers, dish washers and set-up and clean-up crew mem-

bers. You can sign up at the Feb. 7 Council meeting

— or contact Br. Greg Zawrotny at 724-349-2509.

Please remember to invite family and friends, as eve-

ryone is welcome. Donations for the all-you-can eat breakfast benefit our

charitable programs.

Can't wait for the St. Bernard Fish Fries to start again? Well, they’ll be here before you know it! Our annual “Knights’ Night” will be Friday, March 16.

We will once again show our support for St. Bernard School by having Brother Knights staff the serving line and drink tables, bus tables, and help clean up afterwards. We always have a lot of fun doing this! You can sign up at the Feb-ruary 7th Council meeting, or contact me, Mike Morris, at 724-422-3905 or mikem5277@yahoo.com Of course help is always welcome at ALL the fish fries—set-up Friday mornings, and help

with the fish fries beginning at 3:30 PM. Just check with the school by calling 724-465-7139.

Dinners are served on Fridays, begin-ning Feb. 16, through March 23, from 4 PM to 7 PM. Brother Knights, please support St. Bernard School's biggest fundraiser by attending the fish fries with your family—and encourage your friends to come as well for a delicious meal. We receive many compliments as we are seen “in action” supporting the school and church!

Applications are now available for our Council’s

2018 FRANK SIBLEY MEMORIAL SCHOLAR-

SHIP. Any high school senior who is a child or

grandchild of a Council member in good stand-

ing—or of a deceased member of Council

1481—is eligible for the $1,500 scholarship.

An applicant must be a member of the Catholic

Church and a candidate for graduation from a

recognized four-year high school during the

term ending in May/June, 2018. Proof of ac-

ceptance to an institution of higher education,

an official high school transcript showing an

overall grade point average of at least 2.75,

two letters of recommen-

dation and an autobio-

graphical manuscript

identifying career goals

are among the require-

ments for consideration.

area high schools. The application deadline is

April 1, 2018.

Council Fundraiser at Hoss’s March 18 We will again have a fundraiser at Hoss’s restaurant again for our Council on Sunday, March 18. A portion of the cost of

your meal will be donated to our Council by Hoss’s on this date. We need brother Knights to help hand out fund-raiser cards after Saturday evening Masses on March 17, and at all morning Masses on Sunday, March 18 at both

St. Bernard and St. Thomas More parishes. The cards will include all the information about the fundraiser on it. Contact

The 2018 Spring 40 Days for Life Cam-paign begins on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 14, and runs through March 25. Chris-tians throughout the world will partici-pate in this peaceful international cam-paign, which occurs simultaneously in

all 50 states, in 741 cities and 47 countries!

Join us in this Pro Life initiative that has resulted in 13,998 lives being saved, 170 workers in abortion facilities leaving

their jobs, and 90 abortion facilities being closed. Help us to UNITE in prayer, fasting and peaceful vigil, when we stand and pray from 10 AM to 1 PM in front of Planned Parenthood’s abortion clinic in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, March 21. Your prayerful presence there could save a life or even a soul from the devastation caused by abortion!

Members of our Council and local parishes will travel to Pittsburgh on Wednesday, March 21, to be part of this important Pro-Life effort. All are welcome to join us. We will leave from St. Bernard of Clairvaux (upper parking lot) at 8:30 AM and return by approximately 3:00 PM. Transportation will be provided. The “Keep Christ in Christmas” poster contest was a great success again this year. With 89 wonderful posters submitted, judging was a daunting task – well worth the effort seeing how well the students conveyed that won-derful message. These children showed that they know the “Real Meaning” of Christ-mas.

The posters of Domenic and Eva also won First Place at the District level and were sent on to the State contest.
