The Moors inhabit W. Mali, W. Sahara, Mauritania, S. Morocco & N. Senegal.
During the Islamic Golden Age, the slave trade boomed, intermixing European & Sudanic slave populations. Moor society was divided, with light skinned as the ‘Adma’ (Nobility), the ‘Lahma’ (Commoners), the dark skinned as the ‘Abh le tilad’ (Servant who is part of the family), & the ‘Abd le taribya’ (purchased slave).
Moors are virtually all Sunni Muslims & part of the Malikite sect.
PRAYER POINTS~ Pray the Lord would send laborers to reach the Moor people.
~ Pray for the translation of the Bible to begin in the Hassaniyya language.
~ Pray that slavery would end & equal rights for Moors of all shades & features would be established.
