FEBRUARY 23, 2019 FLATS WEST BANK I CLEVELAND, OH
2010 – 2019
YEARS
PRESENTED BY
Over the years, Brite Winter has brought Clevelanders outside to discover the best regional musical and artistic
talent in the middle of winter and this year was no exception! 15,000 attendees came out prepared to have fun,
rain or shine, to celebrate our 10th annual festival.
The board of Brite Cleveland is proud to lead an organization where we celebrate the talent of regional artists
and musicians. We continue to work hard to represent the community we serve, provide opportunities for
working artists and musicians, and grow more comfortable in our role as a unique arts non-profit leader in
our city. Whether it snows, pours, or Mother Nature parts the clouds for a day, Brite Winter is always looking
ONWARD and we know Cleveland will be there ready for what’s next. Here’s to the next ten years! See you
February 22, 2020!

2010 – 2019
YEARS
10 YEARS.393 bands. 7,500 knit hats. 100,000+ festival goers.
MUSICCurated by the community and for the community, the 2019 music lineup was the best and “Britest” collection
of talent yet, spanning across all genres and musicality with 40 bands on five indoor and outdoor stages. This year,
three well-respected members of the Cleveland music community served as Music Liaisons, with their goal being to
recruit acts from all corners of the city and region and provide guidance to the selection process. Their work resulted in the
largest number musical submissions to date, with over 400 submissions. From there, each band was reviewed at least five
times by our 30-member music review committee.
Though the main focus for Brite music was, and always will be, to highlight local Cleveland acts, the 2019 festival also
featured bands from California, Colorado, New York, Michigan and Missouri. As the sun went down, the crowds grew nearer
to the stages to experience the two headliners up close. The K&D Stage Under the Bridge featured Ezri, a Cleveland native
and the first ever hip-hop artist headliner in Brite’s history. The night was capped off with a stellar performance from
indie-pop band Smallpools on the CoverMyMeds Stage on Elm Ave.
"It was amazing to see Clevelanders out and about in the middle of February. We had a huge crowd and it was just so aWESOME to feel supported by the community and our fans!"— MICHELLE GAW FROM MIMI ARDEN
ARTHands dirty and tool belts at the ready, our ingenious
art crew set to work with BRITE 10: ONWARD!,
a journey unlike any other full of immersive
environments that hearken back to the Golden Age of
Travel, taking visitors across time and space. Through
Artist Community Workshops, open to all skill sets
and held in partnership with Ingenuity Cleveland at
the Hamilton Collaborative, volunteers helped craft
each world. Brite-goers warmed up in over 20,000
square feet of space to escape the cold, dance, play
and connect with local artisans and community
groups, all inspired By Land, By Sea and By Air.
"Seeing a pile of wood and parts come together from the ground up to build massive, interactive works of art is the perfect window into the heart of Cleveland’s creative community. Watching the faces of children and adults alike lighting up as they interact with these installations is the perfect cherry on top!" — AMANDA NYX, ASSISTANT ART DIRECTOR
