It is be- cause after the new year, your plans for the new year are not going through and you are facing the reality of this world. It is the end of the winter and beginning of the spring but feels like neither of them. Therefore, we set the month of March as the month of healing and restoration. There are two ministry events will take place. The first is for counseling seminar with Dr. Woohyun Jung who teaches counseling at Midwestern Baptist Seminary where my wife and I sometimes teach. It is prevention and healing seminar for depression, climacteric issues, and other mid life related issues. Washington has a higher suicide rate than others due to the weather and environment. Depression is a mind sickness that needs counseling and healing. Climacteric and midlife issue topics are important for men and women. There will be a seminar(KM) on Saturday and Sunday afternoon and also if anyone sign up, there can be individual counseling. If you take these issues lightly, you might face one on your own. There are issues that you can't just resolve by reading Bible and prayers. We often see Jesus ap- proaching people in the Bible with counseling approach. Even if you do not have any of these issues, it is important to do a preventative care. If it is needed for EM congregation, we can plan one for English speaking congregation in the future. Another ministry is Love Tacoma KM Revival on March 29-31. This revival focus- es on saving of soul through healing and restoration. The theme is "Rewriting book of Life" The guest speaker is Hyungjoon Kim from Korea who has been pastoring for 17 years in a well known church. He is well known for his healing/counseling messages. He has invested a lot of time to study on this topic also done clinical practice at a hospital. In my opinion, he is one of the top five preachers in Korea. I have listened to over 100 of his sermons while I drove long distance miles in the past. I was blessed and healed by his mes- sages. I always wanted to invite him to TFBC to speak and I finally met him at the military revival in Korea last year as guest speakers. I am joyous of being able to have him for our KM revival this year as a guest speaker who I have been admiring and re- specting over the years. God also has challenged me to fast one meal each day before the revival in my heart. I want us to prepare for this revival with desperate for healing and restoration. I hope you will take this month of March to have last restoration of life. Without urgency, healing won't take place. All are afraid of a surgery but why would a pa- tient sill want a surgery. It is because the patient is desperate and it is urgent. Jesus healed many desperate and urgent people. Come with others around you who are also desperate for healing and restoration. We need friends who would break the root to lay down the bed of the leprosy to Christ as we have seen it in the scripture. I love you and thank you. I bless you in the Lord. Senior Pastor David Choi

2019 Transforming Church

To Loving Members of TFBC,

February is the month where most depression happens around the world. It is be-

are facing the reality of this world. It is the end of the winter and beginning of the

spring but feels like neither of them.
