Help Support Cook-Wissahickon As always, we appreciate all the support Cook-Wissahickon families and friends give to help support the school on an ongoing basis!

Box Tops for Education: The January Box Tops for Education sheet is due by Friday, January 29. For each completed sheet turned in, students will be entered for a chance to win movie tickets. Drawing will happen first week in February. Students can turn in sheets to their teachers. And don’t worry – if you don’t have 20 box tops yet, hold on to them and look for a new sheet and contest to come home soon!

Recyclebank UPDATE: Thanks to all who contributed their Recyclebank Points in January. We’ve met our goal! We were selected for the Recyclebank Green Schools Program for a project to construct two raised flowerbeds in our schoolyard for vegetables. Students will assist in building the flowerbeds, planting seeds, and caring for the vegetables. Look for more information about the project in the coming months.

Ongoing Fundraising Goals: In the Fall, the HSA set a goal of raising $9,100 to buy a new SMART board and to maintain the new meadow and native plants around the school. So far, the contributions through the NUT days, individual donations, and business sponsorships have been amazing. If you own a business, work at a business, or know a business (or individual) you think might want to contribute to our school, please send an e-mail to Gina Snyder, a parent who is heading up our fundraising efforts, at [email protected] or call her at (215) 843-1699.

We have lots of other support at the school, with volunteers, donations to the choir, and so much more. We are so grateful for these contributions that are making our school great! Special thanks for the support from these community sponsors (cookwissahickonhsa.com/community-partners/):
