Estadiamento

Hedvig Hricak1 and Kyle K. Yu Radiology in Invasive Cervical Cancer AJR 1996;167:1101-1108
Doença nodal
In contrast, tumor may be present in normal-sized nodes and may show FDG uptake. However, for small or necrotic lymph nodes or early nodal involvement, PET/CT is also limited, with high false-negative rates (34).
RadioGraphics 2010; 30:1251–1268
Doença recorrente
PET/CT is known to be helpful in differentiating residual or recurrent disease from postirradiation fibrosis when CT findings are inconclusive. Nevertheless, FDG PET may fail to reveal microscopic residual tumor due to resolution limits (66).
Doença recorrente
PET/CT is limited in detecting (a) micrometastatic lung disease less than 1 cm3 in volume and (b) retrovesical lesions, owing to the clearance of radiotracer into the bladder (54).
